American McGee's Spicy Horse Games released new information and footage of its upcoming action RPG Akaneiro: Demon Hunters.

The Japanese adaptation of Little Red Riding Hood was announced back in April, when we received an idea of what to expect from the game other than its lush, hand-painted art style reminiscent of Okami.

Gameplay will revolve around 24 unique missions spread across eight different areas. These missions center around the defence of the Yomi village from the onslaught of the yokai spirits, mythical monsters drawn from Japan's Edo period.

Seeing Red

While there will be plenty of melee combat to keep players happy (and busy!), Akaneiro: Demon Hunters will also allow players to use traps and tricks to defeat the demonic yokai.

It's still unknown what platforms Akaneiro: Demon Hunters will be available for, or when it will be released, but we will keep you updated with information regarding this beautiful title when it becomes available.

Looks promising, also Alice games are really hard and save system can be really annoying hopefully this game will be better balanced

Spicy Horse really need to bring an iteration of Alice Madness Returns to iOS and Android! Visually one of the best games I've seen in some time, gorgeous artwork, though the game was stupidly hard at times.
