You know that cliché about how absence makes the heart grow fonder? Total horsesh*t. I should know: My boyfriend and I have been in a long-distance relationship for the past two years. Living 900 miles apart will leave you cranky, strapped for cash (plane tickets aren’t cheap), and unintentionally celibate -- but definitely not fonder.
That said, it is possible to survive the distance and still have a strong, healthy relationship… as long as you follow this advice.
