Remember all those hours you spent dreaming of the open road while sitting in your pajamas, pushing around a bunch of Hot Wheels on your parents' carpet? Well, you're all grown up now and Chevy has just announced the release of the dream car you've been fantasizing about for all these years.

The 2013 Chevy Camaro Hot Wheels Edition brings to life the 1968 Hot Wheels Custom Camaro Redline -- but this time you can drive it. Modeled after the most iconic of the 16 original castings produced by Hot Wheels in 1968, this car is so achingly gorgeous and of such limited production that if you don't grab one now, you'll regret it for the rest of your days.

Choose between a coupe or convertible, and between Chevy's standard 323 hp 3.6-liter V6 and the beastly 427 hp 6.2-liter V8. Many tweaked Camaros come off as maniacal schizophrenics hell-bent on world domination and seem specifically designed to set fear into the souls of every child they pass. This, on the other hand, looks like sex on wheels and is likely to produce uncontrollable groans from every man and woman it passes.

Exterior highlights include a ZL1 rear spolier and upper front grille, a stealth "blackout" graphic on the rear taillight panel, subtle two-tone matte hood graphics and a ground-effects package that includes a new front splitter and rocker panel treatment. It also sports a pair of Hot Wheels logos on the grille and decklid, along with some surprisingly tasteful "flame" fender graphics.

These are all well and good, but the Camaro's most striking features are its black 21-inch wheels and their redline stripes. The matching red highlights surrounding the front grille and wheels is a subtle tweak that visually ties the car together and is guaranteed to make heads turn and wonder "WTF was that?"

On the inside, you get more flame decals on the doors, in addition to Hot Wheels-branded sill plates that let everyone know they're about to enter a real man's toy. Chevy's MyLink infotainment system comes standard, as do Camaro-logo premium floor mats with matching red lining.

All in all, Chevy's modifications have created an incredibly elegant and poised muscle car. It oozes sex appeal and, for a toy-inspired vehicle, looks like anything but child's play. For the boy who's all grown up: the 2013 Chevy Camaro Hot Wheels Edition.
