Gotham Dream Cars
Gotham Dream Cars has been the go-to place for ultra-exotic car rentals for quite some time now, but a few years back, it really took things to the next level with the introduction of the Legends Dream Car Tour. This event gives supercar lovers the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to drive the latest Lamborghinis alongside famed Lamborghini test driver Valentino Balboni. He was personally hired by Lamborghini founder Ferruccio Lamborghini in 1967 and sat at the wheel of every model and prototype produced by the brand for the past four decades. The course runs through more than 150 miles of New York and New Jersey highways and back roads. I recently had the opportunity to participate in the event, now in its fourth run, to get a firsthand feel for things. Bottom line: It’s the most exhilarating behind-the-wheel experience I’ve ever had.
The annual event runs over three days, so pick the one that’s most convenient for you, and as long as it’s not filled up, you’ll be ready to hit the highway in a gang of Lamborghinis. The Tour consists of a meet-and-greet and a four-hour driving session, allowing fans the chance to spend time with Balboni as well as pilot several of the newest Lamborghini models, from Gallardo Coupes and Spyders to Murciélagos, in runs of 30 minutes each.
