There is never such thing as too much Aquatic Ambience :)

And now to derail the comment section of this remix with obnoxious Homestuck references!
Jade with her Dreambot on her insane guitar. Rose on her violin.
*ollies outie*

Be patient. Something else will come along. Besides there's.. what.. thousands of remixes in the database already. Go look up something older.
Alternatively, go and remix something yourself!

These DKC remixes are really great, but anyone who is anyone in the nerd world will have a beloved passion for DK64. My inner-child will not be satisfied until the contributing remixers to ocremix start reminiscing about of one the 90s best games!
-
I'd like to see OCRemix upload a remix from DK 64.

Really? Never played Banjo & Kazooie, so I didn't know about that.

Not my favorite Aquatic Ambiance remix, but still a very good one. Guitars are absolutely awesome, as expected from OA & Level 99. My only critique is the violin. In theory, it would sound epic in a rock sound. But for some reason, it just doesn't mesh right here. Feels mechanical and thrown on top just for the sake of it. In contrast to something like "Wanderer on the Offensive", which really makes the violin integral to the rock-out mix.
Looking forward to more OCU. Keep it up!

Yes. I just don't like hearing the same Instruments that I already heard in Banjo & Kazooie. I'm glad they sort of refined their music in their final masterpiece Conker, before they threw it all away.

Reminds me of a jazzy, Asian sounding Joe Satriani.lol. Sounds pretty good though

That's true. The various in-level songs were just remixes of the level's main themes, and even those main themes were suspiciously similar. That's part of the reason why when I was deciding what DK64 tunes to put on my mp3 player, I decided to go with the main level themes and the boss tunes.

Honestly, anyone getting a little tired of this song being the ONLY one remixed recently? DKC has so many other great & memorable songs, but don't get me wrong, this remix is still awesome. :D

I kinda agree. I mean, I love this song as much as the next guy, but I always kinda get a little annoyed when a whole bunch of OCR folks focus on one song. I think the site would benefit from more variety, as far as source material goes.

True, we need some variety from this game. It's not as if we have 20 other non-"Aquatic Ambiance" DKC1 mixes AND a standalone DKC1 album that arranges every theme... oh, wait... :-)

if Aquatic Ambiance was a n64 game it would be tied for 2nd on most remixed n64 game ... You would think with all those dk fans you would have at least 1 dk64 remix... I guess you guys hate everything beyond snes. it makes me sad that you think you don't have a problem...

"I guess you guys hate everything beyond snes." No, we actually have 650+ mixes from games on systems after the SNES. ReMixers are free to arrange what they want; we won't dictate what our community's contributors arrange. It turns out most of them grew up in (and are the most nostalgic for) the 8- and 16-bit console eras. The fact that that era of games is remixed the most means those soundtracks are particularly inspirational or influential to those musicians. There's favorites AND variety :-)
