Syfy has ordered a fourth season of Haven after another consistent season on Friday nights. Season 4 will consist of 13 episodes and will return sometime next year, likely in late summer. Haven is currently in its third season and has been averaging a steady 2.4 million viewers, just slightly down from the 2.5 it averaged in Season 2.
The show is based on Stephen King's The Colorado Kid and follows an FBI agent named Audrey who deals with supernatural happenings in a small town in Maine. It stars Emily Rose, Eric Balfour, and Lucas Brant. Syfy promises that all of Audrey's questions will be answered before Season 3 ends.
While this is good news for Haven, there's no news on Alphas, whose future is still up in the air.
Next to Eureka - Haven has been my favorite show on SyFy. So happy when networks make good decisions. Really hoping the writers use this extension to get Audrey's head out of her bum. Nathan - yum, yum.
One my absolute favorites - I thought this would be the last season based on the fact that they were going to answer all the questions this season. Hopefully they have a new mystery beyond Audrey disappearing to keep the show going.
Obviously, somehow they prevent the meteor storm from taking Audrey away, so then, most likely they start to wonder why the troubles aren't leaving this time, and they decide it is because Audrey is still there and they have to figure out how to make the troubles stop now that they screwed up the natural order of things.
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love this show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yay! I just wish they did gave haven longer seasons, I hate it that it ends in 13 episodes..
GREAT news! I truly love this show and I'm so glad it's coming back for a fourth season. It's one of the few that seems to be bucking the trend of going loopy by season 3 and then jumping the shark (LOST anyone?) So hopefully Haven will just go on building a hardcore fan base and begin to draw in even more viewers (fingers crossed). Also another season of Eric Balfour and Lucas Brant is never going to a be a bad thing is it? However, nice to see their going to be telling us the answers to Audrey's questions this season, I don't think I could've stood the suspense for a fourth time. whose people's favourite out of the three main characters? Audrey's great and I've always liked Nathan, but my heart belongs to Duke after this season - he just seems so lonely.....moreless
Good. Now bring back Alphas!
I love this show to bits and I am finally glad that we get to learn the truth about the colorado kid being adurey's son sorry sarah's son. I hope that we learn her real Identity in the new season of haven and that she doesn't disappear in the show's season finale.
Which would make time for adurey and Nathan to finally be with each other.
Yay!!!!!
Great, I thought this would be the last because of the mystery being solved thing, now we just need a green light for Alphas.
yeeey, fantastic news! great show!! can't wait to see wot happens next...maybe one day Tv.com staff will figure a way to give more credit to Haven!
Just had to add that part about Alphas didn't he? I like Alphas but adding that last sentence on an article (which is good news btw) about Haven is just nonsense.
I know, right?! A mention of a show from the same network in a news segment that is about renewals?! Madness!
I think that is because they are both from Syfy channel and they usually announce these renewals together, but i get your point, looks like Alphas is "a bit" more important in this site.
yay!
i thoughtt was the last season....she will come back with black hair and and new name smt if she leave haven to find who is she and tattoo etc
pretty much only this and Alphas are the only SCIENCE FICTION on Syfy now, even though Haven is more of a mix with scifi and fantasy, but still more scifi than Being Human.
How isn't Being Human science fiction? I do get your point about how little science fiction they do, though. They are getting more into reality shows than scifi.
It is speculative fiction yes, but it is pretty specifically fantasy. There is no science behind vampirism. However, by this metric, Haven is not science fiction either. Alphas is HIGHLY questionable as science fiction. Warehouse 13 is maybe barely soft science fiction, but pretty much it is fantasy. There is no science fiction on Syfy. None.
Awesome!! I love this show!!!
Great news. . .this is one of top five shows on TV and keeps getting better from week to week.
This is great news. I really enjoyed last night's episode and think the stories are more focused this season than subpar effort in season 2. The biggest key is they've really added a few interesting characters that have spiced it up. I'm really interested to see how they are going to end this season. I just hope they don't pull a 'Hell on Wheels' since there will be a season 4.
Oh, yeah, the show none of the staff on TV.com likes. :)

Haven is a nice show, nice to have something different to watch, it's not lawyers, doctors or reality, so yay
Good News, though I'm surprised this show made it this long, I still find it entertaining though!
Great news, I do hope they bring back Adam "Edge" Copeland, as the Cleaner. He is doing wonderful in this part and now that he can't wrestle anymore, nice to see him on something else.
He's in my fantasy Highlander remake cast:
Adam Copeland as The Kurgan (formerly played by Clancy Brown)
Actually, that's as far as I've gotten.
liam nesson has the mentor to the highlander
Good news.
I suppose Sy Fy has to have a sci fi show or two to put between the wrestling and cooking shows.
A very nice way to spend part of a Friday evening.
awesome, Haven is a great show
I gave this show probably several episodes it's first season but all interest. Really surprised that's this show's stuck around.
i agree. same here.
normal surprise if you dont like it, I have the same with Alphas (not understanding how come this survives) - I think there is so little choice that we gather what we can...
hell yeah! great news. those questions may get answered but they can always pull more stuff from SK's various novels and short stories etc.. if they need to do that. lord knows he's written enough stuff ya know?
Good news but if they answer all her questions before Season 3 ends what would be the point of Season 4?
the mystery of the mark or Tattoo
or who is Duke's (eventual) murderer
Haven has been very enjoyable this season, I'm glad to hear it is coming back next year. Now I just gotta cross my fingers for Alphas!!
Cool. Haven's not bad. I'll likely watch it for as long as it's around.
Amazing show. I'm glad it willbe back mext year.
Also, tv.com should seriously assign someone (maybe one of the new guys) to review Haven on a regular basis.
I'm sure someone (Louis Peitzman maybe?) reviewed the groundhog day episode in season 2. That's not enough though, we need more, Haven is fantastic.
Yay! I was really expecting it to end this season since they are wrapping up (supposedly) all of the Audrey/Lucy/Sarah mystery.
What are they waiting for on Alphas?
Warehouse 13 is a worry to with the big hiatus of just 3 eps left. Anyone know when lost girl will be airing again? Love that show
What's there to worry about with Warehouse 13? 10 episodes aired this year and the remaining 10 episodes (not only 3 :) ) will air next year. SyFy only cut the season into 2 parts as they used to do with Eureka.
Yey!
