... AMC's The Killing, which was canceled and thrown into a shallow grave by the network a few months ago, might be crawling out for a third season. Show-saver Netflix is reportedly in discussions to help revive the struggling series after a strong pitch from showrunner Veena Sud, with AMC chipping in on production costs and getting first-air rights to revived show. It's a deal that resembles the pact between NBC and DirecTV that kept Friday Night Lights alive for Seasons 4 and 5. [Deadline Hollywood]

... The CW's Nikita is on the move! The spy series will move up an hour to the Friday 8pm slot beginning November 30 after the current cycle of America's Next Top Model ends. Filling the void at 9pm will be repeats of the network's new darling, Arrow. [TV Line]
... The CW has found a spot for The Carrie Diaries on its midseason schedule. The Sex and the City prequel will debut on January 14 and kick off the night at 8pm, an hour earlier from its previously announced 9pm slot. 90210 will move back to 9pm to make room for young filly Carrie Bradshaw. CASTING NEWS
... C. Thomas Howell's plan to take over the world is closer to becoming reality. Howell has been upped to regular on TNT's Southland, on which he plays dickish cop Dewey. Did you guys see Howell on Alphas and Revolution recently? (He's kinda weird.) [TV Line]
... The Big Bang Theory has cast Bernadette's mom, and it's... Meagan Fay! You'll recognize Fay from Malcolm in the Middle and The Bernie Mac Show, provided that you've seen both of those shows and have a really great memory. Look for her in the December 6 episode. [TV Guide]

Poor C. Thomas Howell, he always plays "the dickish ______", guy needs a new agent.
Nikita's timeslot was pulling half the ratings of Beauty and the Beast, so it needed a move. Will people watch Arrow reruns though, or will that slot be the first broadcast timeslot in 50 years to have zero viewers? I'm betting it's the latter.
Linden and Holder were a great pair. If the writers can expand their characters a bit and come up with stories with a bit more action I think this show would be a hit.
FNL and The Killing arent even in the same universe. Veena Sud apparently missed her calling as a used car salesman.
I really liked the Killing. I felt like the Killing had more of a novel pace than a typical TV show which I appreciated. Rubicon was the other show that I had really hoped Netflix would have saved, but one of out two isn't bad.
I liked how The Killing ended, it was very fitting for the series and I don't know what season 3 would consist of. And I would rather see the actors doing something else because that cast was phenomenal.

Great police action are the Swedish movies called Johan Falk - and whatever title...Joel Kinnaman plays a biker aka police informant. These movies are the best action this little country has ever produced. The last once are flawless.
The Killing is slow with very little action. I can see why a place like Netflix would try and pick it up: it should be pretty damn cheap to make. They can have a whole episode with Linden and Holder just walking on the street looking for a clue on the sidewalk and still have a decent audience. Despite that half-criticism, I'll probably watch, heh.
I don't watch it on TV much, but I still like the news about Nikita. I don't know what else is on at 8 on Fridays, but I do know that Grimm and Fringe are on at 9, so it shouldn't hurt to get out of that time slot.

Good for Nikita, hopefully. It pains me to see it aired the same time as Grimm and Fringe. The ratings for Fringe don't matter any more, but Nikita needs the viewers, and at the moment some of them watch Fringe and Grimm instead.
For every line said by a Whitney actor/actress an angel dies in a murder-suicide taking two of his brothers and a kitten with him.
The longer Whitney goes on, the more I'm convinced the creators behind it have secretly taken control of NBC via alien mind control...how else to explain its continued existence?
People watch it, just like Honey Bobo, Jersey Shore etc.
Awesome news. I'm not really sure why people hated The Killing so much, the second season was incredible. Hopefully we see it back eventually
I very much enjoyed THE KILLING and will be pleased to watch season three (and purchase the DVDs).
