Budnitz rolls out Paratrooper Green No. 2
Budnitz Bicycles is a small builder of high-end city bikes. After quickly selling through its first batch of Model No.2 Titanium bike earlier this year, Budnitz has more in stock now, including a few in a 'Matte Paratrooper Green' that the company says takes three coats of paint to achieve.
The bars, seatpost, stem and fork are brushed titanium.
In place of a chain, the bike uses a Gates Carbon Drive belt and can be configured as a singlespeed or geared bike with an 11-speed internal hub. The 29in front wheel and a 26in rear roll on wide, 2.35in Schwalbe Super Moto slicks.
American-made component spec includes parts from White Industries, Paul Components, Davinci Design and a special titanium Chris King Headeset.
The Model No. 2 Titanium comes in four sizes, with a retail price of $5,600.
The split top tube flows seamlessly into the seat stays, while a Gates Carbon Drive belt keeps the drivetrain quiet
