Elizabeth Boylan is the Creative Director of Big Top Ballet and co-founder of VectorBloom Technologies. Working closely with her husband and game programmer, John Borchert, she draws from a varied background which includes studying Chemistry at St. Francis Xavier University, business at IESEG in Lille, France, writing and performing stand-up comedy in Montreal and Vancouver before attending Emily Carr University of Art and Design.
Outside of art and game development, her favorite pass times are snowboarding, swimming, playing tennis and violin.

Why are so many independent developers and artists continuing on this path while the industry is reflecting a financial collapse? I can't help but consider game development for mobile as an irrational pursuit that will lead to a second wave renaissance.. |

Crowdfunding has become quite a buzz since the JOBS Act was signed into law this past Spring. One of the biggest benefits of Crowdfunding can be pre-release marketing of your independent game title and of course much needed development or marketing funds. |

Rumour has it the iPad3 will not only have a retina display and higher processor for gaming but will also feature tactile touch! We can't say how exciting this is for gaming and in particular the direction we're taking our indie game Big Top Ballet. |
