Full name: Otis Frampton

Birthdate: Dec 9, 1972

Location: Maplewood, MN, USA

Since when do you do art and why? My first piece was "Butter On Carpet" at age 2. I've been drawing ever since. I create images mainly to get them out of my head and move on to the next one. Storytelling is my true passion and since I've always been able to draw, I've used the skill to help tell my stories.

What is your specialization? I like to think that my specialization is visual storytelling. I'm happiest when I'm creating comics. But I earn a living off of commission and freelance work.

Notable Clients: I've done work for Viper Comics, Topps, Lucasfilm, New Line Cinema, Marvel & DC. I created the graphic novel series "Oddly Normal" for Viper Comics. I currently have two webcomics, "Escape From Planet Nowhere" and "The Song of Xanthia". I also provide artwork for some of the "How It Should Have Ended" online shorts. And lastly, I'm currently working on a new comic mini-series written by Josh Howard (creator of "Dead@17", Image Comics) called "Starship Kansas".

A few words about yourself:
I'm 38, I like to draw and tell stories.

Tools & software you use: I use Photoshop CS4 and a Wacom Cintiq 21UX to create most of my work. When I work on paper (which is rare these days) I use Micron pens and Prismacolor markers.

Favorite artists:
Frank Miller, Bruce Timm, Charles Schulz, Jeff Smith, Norman Rockwell, John Byrne, Jim Starlin, Skottie Young, Darwyn Cooke. But most of my inspiration comes from movies (both live action and animated), rather than art or comics.

The top 3 of your favorite video games:
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (for Wii), Halo for Xbox 360 (online multiplayer, I don't care about the main game) and Goldeneye 007 (for N64).

Favorite gaming platform: Wii.
