According to tweetdeck, one of the trending:worldwide topics on twitter not so long ago was 6 word stories. In the past few months I've asked people to say 6 words about game design, programming, wargames, stories in games, casual games, zombie games, and chance/randomness in games, innovation (and plagiarism) in games, and game sequels.
This time the challenge is this: say six words about role-playing games.

This brought me back to remembering what hasn't been replaced through video games yet.
Seriously, RPGs were about being able to explore and slowly think/turn base combat. Now it's twitch combat/fast paced like Skyrim, FFXIII and Fallout New Vegas. Even with time attack (whatever it was called) on Chrono Trigger wasn't as break neck speed as FFXIII, and Skyrim as the defacto RPG of today is a far stretch from the slower paced Plan escape Torment (I know the Elder Scrolls were always more live combat).
