Quiz As the dust settles on on our recent round of Bond polls - in which readers voted Ernst Stavro Blofeld, Sean Connery and Casino Royale the vilest Bond villain, the ultimate movie Bond and the best Bond film, respectively - we're offering fans the chance to see if they've really got what it takes to hold the coveted 00 number.

It seems like just, well, 50 years since Dr No wowed cinema audiences worldwide and kicked off one of the most successful film franchises in movie history.

Who can forget Ursula Andress in a bikini, and the eponymous steel-clawed villain in a fantastical subterranean lair awaiting his inevitable nemesis in the form of Her Majesty's most deadly 00 number.

Twenty-three films later and Bond shows no sign of running out of steam, even if he has kicked the cigarettes, traded in his Rolex and seen M's chair occupied by a woman's backside.

This Bondophile hack has happy - if somewhat distant - memories of being blown away by the title sequence of Goldfinger, as Cardiff's finest Shirley Bassey opened her lungs in service of the Bond theme - an indispensable part of the 007 movie experience.

We're sure that readers of a certain age will recall with a certain frisson of pleasure Blofeld's truly fantasical volcanic lair in You Only Live Twice, or perhaps Roger Moore blowing away Baron Samedi's robotic double in Live And Let Die.

Those of us who've been around long enough to remember when Sean Connery had real hair have rubbed our hands in keen anticipation of every new Bond release, but the question is: how much do we really know about the 007 movies?

Well, we've put together a quiz to test your knowledge of Bond film trivia. As is only right and proper, it has 50 questions.

All of the answers are readily available online or, if you're a bit of a Boris Grishenko, you can glean the correct responses from our source code.

That's hardly cricket, though, is it? So, no peeking: just pour yourself a shaken vodka martini and get down to it:
