Infinity Ward's face of Call of Duty steps down

"creative strategist" There's no such thing at Activision. Same ole, same ole.

I feel bad for the guy...I hope he movies onto something a good studio and help make more games that I will acctually play...

Since 2006 huh. To me this sounds like he was the community relations manager when CoD4 came out, did a good job and they made him the "Creative Strategist" for all future MW releases while forcing him and the rest of Infinity Ward to tight budgets, quick deadlines and ridiculous expectations. Theres a reason why so many employee's left Infinity Ward. Most of the employee's today are a shell of what they were with the release of CoD 4, or they're completely gone like Robert Bowling now. Publishers are evil, treating developers to extreme near sweat-shop conditions just to make a petty penny.

the more things change the more they stay the same boundaries shift new players step in you bring down one enemy and they someone worse to replace him

He was a PR lead and community manager ... the title was just a glorified one that people are misunderstanding.

Wow I didnt know that IW even had a "Creative Strategist" judging MW3 the game looks like it had been made by a bunch of interns and janitor in a weekend.

good he did nothing good to cod series to begin with when it comes to cod,cod2,mw,mw2 Vince Zampela and Jason West where the lead guys of cod series after that (mw3) Robert Bowling was the leader and that explains why mw3 is not in par with mw and mw2(ratings) Vince and Jason need to go back to cod series nobody knows how to make cod better then them

@speedfreak48t5p You do realise the fact you referred to Burnout 3 means anything you state from now on I will take as law.. that game was the best out of them all. I don't think it was a matter of Criterion being brave though, I think EA just grabbed them by the balls. It changed far too quickly. Paradise was good I agree, but I'd much prefer a closed circuit game again with more tracks and vehicles. An open-world racer just isn't the burnout recipe. Anyhows, good response pal. Couldn't agree more with the COD reference :P

Ya, I agree with most posters, i found this guys voice and attitude very annoying, idk why, I just didnt like him from the moment i saw him, like maybe its cause he has a "punch-able" face.... idk, i just never liked this guy

Thank God, I hate this guy, every new COD game and DLC he advertises it like it is the greatest thing we have ever seen. I put alot of blame on him for COD becoming the same rehashed trash over and over again. Good riddance Mr. Bowling.

If I was that guy I'd take my billions and quit, too. He looks like he's 25 years old. Must be pretty sweet to be at that age with enough money to buy a small country. Of course, on the plus side to the rest of us, maybe the next COD will be a little bit...... dare I say it...... different?

thanks for re-skinning modern warfare 4 three times and selling them full price. COD has become the epitome of "milking" a series.

@warhawk-geeby I liked Paradise a lot actually, just not as much as the masterpiece known as Burnout 3 Takedown. This is funny being the comments section on a Call of Duty article. Why I liked Paradise was how brave it was and how Criterion wasn't afraid to do something different with their beloved franchise. Call of Duty on the other hand........

I didn't know that rearranging backgrounds, and reskinning guns was called being a "Creative Strategist".

He was the only guy in any infinity ward video's that actually sounded like he was enjoying his job, then he leaves lol hes a very good actor.

Every man has his limits. There comes a day when you just can't LIE with a grin on your face all the time. Also, I didn't know he was the LEAD of IW! O_o I always thought he was merely a PR manager - pretty small position.

@IWAOlympus I haven't bought a CoD game since MW2, and I wasn't going to even buy that. I bought it because it's all my friends IRL played. Since then, I've just decided to not play games with them online.

This is great for him. I think he should use his degree with a different company instead of being forced to put out the same BS every year.

so what did he do for the past few years because we got the same game twice? what really happened is they called him in to fire him and he just left first to keep his dignity.

The amount of hate for the Call of Duty series seems to only be equaled by the amount of people who bought the game. Why do people continually plunk down $60+ a year for something they hate with every fiber of their being?
