You asked us the questions about Far Cry 3, and we answered them... sort of.
You know what i hated about 2? its that everybody, for some reason, hated you. Your driving along and then bam youre getting shot at. Youre walking then bam youre getting shot at. F****kin hell cut me some slack.
lol. 6:53 "not so sure about silencers...", next scene shoes a silencer.
cant wait for this one, hopefully i can push my laptop to run this game on high settings.

sorin_ro Oh, you're absolutely right! Far Cry was a hundred times better. But, still Far Cry 2 deserves more positive reviews as It has right now.
Hey Guys you didn't answer the one important question that also plagued FC2 and that was the Save Game options - having to locate/travel/capture a hut just to save was, although enjoyable, still a pain because it made it very limited option to save the game.
Sarijon PC didn't have that issue. Hitting F5 gives you quick saves no matter where you are, but I can see how that can become problematic to have to unlock save points more or less.
ZOD777 Sarijon Except there is no quick save - it creates an entirely new save increasing the initial load time of the load menu. Using quick load simply loads the last save done, there was never a proper quicksave system even though they have existed since November 14, 2004 (Half Life 2)
PinchySkree Sarijon It didn't take that long to load unless you have like 50 of them. From what I recall, there was only one quicksave slot (per character), and all of the others (blue box), or after sleep and fast travel asked you which slot you wanted to save (new/overwrite).
PinchySkree Nope, you are right. Just launched the game and tried it. It does create a new save for each quicksave. I do recall having to go and delete what seemed like 80 saves when the refresh list got slow.
ZOD777 Really bad work for 2008, hope they improve this aspect at least. I think it was just ported in afterwards because consoles have no quicksave.

FC2 (PS3) as I recall did not have a quick save option, you had to hunt down 'huts' in order to save - meaning long periods without opportunities to save game, if you died then you lost all the progress you'd made since the last 'hut' save. I'm hoping that FC3 has a quick save option!!! .......... oh and that's its a bloody good game!

ElectronReviews Oh no, perhaps you've misunderstood. I'm not suggesting that I'm losing interest because of the annoying presenter, although he made the article difficult to watch.
I'm just saying that i'm losing interest in the game as an additional, but entirely seperate comment to the one about the annoying presenter.
I was very interested in this game. I never played Far Cry 1 but to me it looks really good, and I've only just started dabbling with Far Cry 2. It looked like Ubisoft (there's not a specific development team?) has got the gameplay sussed and that this could be great fun, but a different flavour to most other FPSs.
But the need to hunt doesnt strike me as fun. The get eaten by sharks doesnt strike me as fun.
I think Black Ops 2 has taken my interest for now, although I think that will be largely derivative of previous CoDs, naturally.
I think perhaps its hard to get excited for games now when they funamentally look and play like dozens of games that we've played before.

Repetitive unimaginative missions, meh.
Saints Row the Third has set the standard, anything less than coop campaign is a step back.
He doesn't know if a red dot sight, a scope or extended magazines will affect anything, why are these guys answering questions for this game?
PinchySkree Saints Row is just annoying (respawning) enemy that just pile up on top of you and themselves until you have killed the games quota to pass the mission - particularly towards the end of the game - I was glad when it had finished!
Sarijon Yeah it's best they could do when the game has to conform to console standards. It's about tiem the open worlded GTA inspired games put coop campaign and sandbox in as standard.
How do you guys know this better than anyone else, except the people who made the game?

Great game by the way it looks so far. That being said, I'd like it better if Maxwell didn't feel he has to show us his mummer's skills. It gets painful.
