Gulfstream Aerospace was acquired by Forstmann Little & Co, a private investment firm, in 1990.
In July 1999 General Dynamics acquired Gulfstream in a deal valued at about $4.8 billion.
In 2001 the companies parent acquired Galaxy Aerospace.
