The cast of Misfits have spoken to Digital Spy ahead of the show's return.

Joseph Gilgun (Rudy) told DS that he enjoyed working with a new cast on the E4 drama's fourth series.

"I miss the guys who I worked with - Lauren [Socha] and Iwan [Rheon] and all the rest of them - but it's awesome to have a new crew to hang out with," said the 28-year-old actor.

New series regular Karla Crome described her character Jess as a "tough cookie" who is "hard on the outside, soft on the inside".

"She speaks her mind... but she's also very caring and loyal to her friends as well," revealed the Hit & Miss star.

Also joining Misfits is Nathan McMullen as "wide-eyed... man-child" Finn, who develops a "bromance" with Rudy.

"It's really fun to play," said McMullen. "They bounce off each other - it's just like having banter with your mates."

Finn and Jess will be drawn into a "love triangle" with the "mysterious" and "standoffish" Alex, third new regular Matt Stoke revealed.

"You learn more about him as it goes through the season," Stoke said of his character. "There's a bit of tension with Finn, because there's a love triangle going on with Jess."

Misfits returns to E4 this Sunday (October 28) at 10pm.
