Flightglobal won the prestigious title of Business Website of the Year at the AOP’s Digital Publishing Awards 2010, hosted by TV presenter Suzi Perry at The Roundhouse, Camden, London, on Thursday 10 June.

Flightglobal beat off competition from publishers Dow Jones, Incisive Media, and two fellow Reed Business Information websites (ComputerWeekly.com and XpertHR.co.uk) to claim the title of B2B’s best website.

Flightglobal’s Online and Digital Development Editor Michael Targett was delighted to win: “Obviously, it’s a fabulous feeling to pick up this particular award in a tough category, but it’s also great to get recognition for what really is an on-going team effort from the entire Group.”

"Every single member of the worldwide Flightglobal Group has contributed to the website and digital products in some way over the last 12 months and I think that’s what has shone through for the judges.”

The judges were impressed with Flightglobal's results in what has been a tough year for its audience: “Flightglobal has shown impressive results across all its KPIs in 2009. The site uses the full spectrum of digital tools, with a special focus on engagement and effective use of social media in a B2B environment.”

Flightglobal was one of eleven RBI products and people shortlisted (included Editor Michael Targett in the Digital Editorial Individual category) for the awards held at the Roundhouse in London.

"Congratulations to the Flightglobal team for winning such an important award," said Reed Business Information CEO Mark Kelsey.
