Nokia has unveiled two new developer programs at this year's BUILD event. Microsoft's developer focused event saw the Finnish manufacturer give away a Lumia 920 Windows Phone to each attending developer to match Microsoft's free 100GB SkyDrive upgrade. So what are these two developer programs all about?

An interesting video has been published on the Microsoft Norge YouTube channel, which takes place on October 26th in Oslo, Norway. The video shows a team setting up a stage for the popular Norwegian electro rock band Datarock. This platform for the band to perform on is hidden behind a false wall on a street. The band, along with volunteers, will then surprise the general public.

Microsoft's Surface tablet, which runs Windows RT, has been featured in an episode of NCIS: LA. The device was announced and released earlier this month, and has been shipped to a number of consumers who placed pre-orders.

Today sees the release of the Nokia exclusive app Angry Birds Roost. Bird and Pig lovers everywhere can now rejoice! We first saw signs of this back in Sept which we wrote about.

Before you get too excited, this isn’t a game, merely a one stop shop for all things Rovio and Angry Birds.

With both the Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 launches over we are seeing more and more devices with pricing and dates appearing around the world.

It has certainly been an incredibly busy start to the week here at Windows Phone Central. Join in as your fellow members, writers and moderators of Android Central, CrackBerry, iMore, Windows Phone Central and webOS Nation put their smartphone differences aside to come together next month for Movember.

You know what Windows Phone needs? A good hunting game. I mean, Deer Hunter 3D suffered from a broken Achievement and cost three times as much as the iOS version (see above photo for iOS screenshot). Who wants that? Thankfully, this week hunting gets another chance with Big Buck Hunter Pro, which was previously announced for Windows 8 but not Windows Phone 7. Surprise! The game comes from Merge Interactive and Microsoft Studios.
