Squint your eyes a little and Double Dragon: Neon feels a lot like the Double Dragon games from the arcade era--warts and all. The side-scrolling brawler has the same kind of life-eating, punishing difficulty curve of its predecessors, evocatively-designed, challenging enemies, and it's much better when you've got a second player to help you clean up the streets (and places beyond). But some quirks with going co-op aside (this is a strictly local experience until developer WayForward deploys a multiplayer patch), Double Dragon: Neon has flashes of wit and well-designed combat as it homages and sends up past buddy system brawlers.

Speaking to GamesIndustry.biz, Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida made the company’s plans for the PlayStation Vita clear: “Our priority right now is definitely to bring more content.”
“In terms of new content and new system and service features, we can add that, and we can work with third-parties to get more,” he continued. “We’re getting a very good feeling when we talk with third-party companies.”
It’s obvious that gaming platforms need to be supported by games and features, but Sony’s line of portables has struggled to buck a reputation as a barren system. To that end, Sony announced a suite of new initiatives to bolster the Vita’s library during their Gamescom presentation.

Well, it looks like the rumors were true folks. The PlayStation Blog has officially confirmed suspicions of a God of War Saga Collection this morning, and it looks like the compilation will include 5 full God of War titles and will be available in physical and digital formats for PS3. Read More...
