Welcome to our time-traveling, space-warping round up of all the news we could find about the world’s most popular Timelord, Doctor Who. And there’s a ton of news to get through because, remember: this article is bigger on the inside.
ITEM! Doctor Who Goes To Westworld
Mild spoilers here, but it looks like The Doctor will be battling some sort of Cowboy Cyborg, or Cowbyborg if you will, in the upcoming season. Plenty more pictures of people hanging out in the old west at this link.
ITEM! Doctor Who Con Is This Weekend
At this point, we're going to have to do a fair bit of time traveling to snag tickets for the first official Doctor Who Convention in Cardiff... But suffice to say, there's probably going to be a ton of news coming out about the upcoming season - and perhaps even the fiftieth anniversary in 2013 - over the weekend. Geronimo!
FORCED! Doctor Who Uses A Lightsaber
This weekend, while watching the season finale of The Walking Dead, I turned to my wife and said, "The best possible way this could end is if, in the last minute, someone is screaming, "We need a doctor!" and Doctor Who enters and says, "Maybe I can help." We then posited that the only thing that would make that better is if Facebook and Twitter spontaneously shut down, so no one could talk to their friends about this plot twist online. Point being, everything - even Star Wars - is better with The Doctor.
NESTED! BBC America Explores The World of Who-craft
We've seen a few of the items BBC America posted for their Doctor Who crafty round-up, but these nesting dolls, which start with the TARDIS, and include all eleven doctors in reverse chronological order (time travel!) are pretty adorable.
MARRIED! TARDIS Ring Makes Us Want To Say Yes, A Thousand Times Yes
We have no words, other than, "Yes." Also, here's the description of how this happened, and what it is from the creator's website: "I was bored and made this. Its a Police Box based ring with a tension set 1CT Princess Cut center stone. The three round stones is the Police Box sign, the two sets of four baguettes symbolize the windows, and a small princess cut below that to symbolize the instructions found on the front of the Police Box." We got bored earlier, and ate two sandwiches.
BRITTA'D! Inspector Spacetime's Final Coffin Nail Gets Nailed
For those of you who haven't been religiously following this story, there was a parody of Doctor Who on NBC's Community called Inspector Spacetime. The actor who played the Inspector decided to make a web-series of it, without Sony or NBC's permission. That got scuttled pretty quickly. Now, Community creator Dan Harmon has come out, and kind of said he doesn't want to get involved. That doesn't mean the end of Spacetime, though... It was a major plot-point on Community just last episode.
UN-BRITTA'D! Awesome Inspector T-Shirt!
...Speaking of unlicensed, here's a faboo Inspector Spacetime T-shirt from Etsy user IntarsiaDesign. Now all we need is a T-shirt with a picture of The Master that says "The Darkest Timeline," and our lives will be complete.
HELLO, SEXY! Geeky Doctor Who Purses
Etsy user Cat Penfold has a ton of fabulous Timelord themed purses (and other items) in her shop, including the sweet little Cybermen one you see above. Check out her shop for plenty more, including a delightful TARDIS purse that has a hidden, "Hello, Sexy!" inside.

So I did a post last month on previewing the Scene It Star Wars game coming out this fall and now they have just released a teaser trailer to show us Jedis what we'll be looking forward to!
Just in case you missed it, here again are the game details:
From the Battle of Naboo to the birth of Luke Skywalker, from the rise of Darth Vader to the fall of the Galactic Empire - Scene It? Star Wars delivers hours of fun spanning the complete Star Wars film saga. As one of the engaging new puzzle types introduced in this landmark title, the “Jedi Archives” challenges players to solve puzzles utilizing behind-the- scenes film assets, from storyboards, production stills, concept art and more. The Force will need to be with fans as they try to solve the “Finish the Line” puzzles, which task Star Wars devotees to complete key dialogue from the films. The “Imperial Listening Post” incorporates the fantastic sound effects of Star Wars, as players endeavor to identify the iconic hum of lightsabers, or the inspiration of Chewbacca’s signature voice. Emulating R2-D2’s famous projector, “Holonet Disruptions” presents clues in holographic projections, as first depicted in the original Star Wars.

This isn't the first time we've seen iconic astromech droid R2-D2 in LEGO form; master builders have displayed life-size LEGO versions of him numerous times around the globe. However, this time things are a little different as the model you see above is becoming an actual LEGO set so we can all take a swing at putting it together! Read more...

Oh R2, he never ceases to entertain me and the fact that he's become an awesome inflatable RC toy is just the icing on the cake. I mean honestly people, what could be better than having your own radio-controlled R2-D2 to drive around the house? Nothing, you know it to be true. Read more...

Continuing the epic four-episode arc leading into the season finale, Star Wars: The Clone Wars hits Cartoon Network tonight with a brand new episode titled Bounty, and we've got three amazing clips to share with you!
We already know Darth Maul is being introduced to the series in the coming weeks, but Lucasfilm isn't afraid to bring in another new character onboard. Dengar – a bounty hunter seen with Boba Fett in The Empire Strikes Back – will be making his premiere in this week's episode and actor Simon Pegg (Star Trek and Shaun of the Dead) will be providing his voice! So some of you may remember my interview at last year's NY Toy Fair with the fabulous Robyn from Underground Toys. She gave us the scoop on all their fabulous Star Wars plush toys and we got the special preview of their 24" plush Chewie, which was a HUGE HIT in my office this past year. It literally brought tears of joy to many an MTV employee!! This year Underground Toys has even more cool stuff to show us, including these ball plush toys AND keychain size toys like Jawa! I squeezed the Jawa and it immediately screamed UTINNI at me!! I think that's my favorite Star Wars soundboard bite ever.
