I'll elaborate.
Times have changed. I grew up a diehard Nintendo fan as well, but there are a multitude of things that are different in the HD generation. Final Fantasy is no longer Nintendo exclusive (or on any Nintendo systems for that matter): franchises like Zelda are no longer infallible: some big classic franchises are dead (Starfox). I don't see how anything like Mass Effect 2 would even be possible on the Wii unless it looked like a 16-bit game. It didn't even fit on two HD 360 discs.
And the PS3/360 market doesn't have to rely on The Conduit because they didn't employ a dated, backwards system like "friend codes". Communities for FPS games on the Wii die almost instantly.
"We let our biases and ignorance cloud our initial judgment." It has nothing to do with preconceived notions: nearly every major game on the 360 or PS3 simply is not possible due to technical limitations. Could you imagine Call of Duty on the Wii, and the poor draw distance - wait, that happened.
The 360 in particular can intrinsically be catered to hardcore to some degree as well; and why not? When Microsoft charges a $50+ a year premium for online service, it's safe to say casual gamers are not going to be willing to pay to play if they're not going to put in the time. The same could be said about pay to play MMOs.
The reason you see the multitude of "keep fighting the good Wii fight" comments in response to your ridiculous statements is because you don't think out of the box when it comes to console arguments: you basically just pigeonhole HD consoles as "hardcore and wrong and bigoted" no matter what. "Here Wii go"?

@Magnalon Dv8thwoneder is more or less just a troll that even trolls Nintendo topics, I wouldn't pay him much mind.
Also, traditional RPGs seem to be impossible on 360 and PS3 due to "technical limitations" yet because Wii is less cost prohibitive they're totally possible there.
My only beef with 360 and PS3 is that there the games are getting smaller and much more incomplete than they were in prior generations without any viable excuse for it other than fleecing consumers of more money. Things that were unlockable in the previous generations is stuff they want us to pay them for now and I just find that to be total bullshit.

@Silent
Yea, I know. I'm just speechless as to why he called himself an "atypical fanboy" in Cad's latest blog.

I'm pretty sure I already read that comment on here. Not surprising since LoftytheMetroid visits this site. You can't take a comment, let alone someone else's comment, and turn in into a c-blog. Jesus Christ just write something yourself (and try to make it less spammy then your comments. You've broken rule 3 and 11 enough times).
Its always suprised me that RPGs like Fallout or Oblivions didn't happen on the Wii, since there were incarnations of that sort of "epic" on consoles last generation.
That said, I can see where splintering off into another production chain to tool the experience for the Wii, however less graphically intense, could be a major bottleneck in anything resembling profitability as a company for say Bethesda or Bioware.
But yeah man, write your own stuff. Believe me, we've been running the Wii Defense Conversation for years now! Its good to get personal perspectives :)

@Tubatic
Monster Hunter Tri is coming in about 20 days. It's the first time in years I've pre ordered a Wii game. lol

tl;dr version: If the wii had had hardcore games and the other two hadn't, the wii would have more hardcore games and the other two wouuldn't.
Well, yeah?
