It's hard to find negative things to write about Forza Horizon. It certainly is a different experience compared to Forza Motorsport 4, but that doesn't mean it's not as good. The spotless presentation and the enormous amount of things to do makes this one of the finest racing games I've ever played.

Most importantly, it manages to simultaneously feel like a Forza game while also letting in more of what makes racing games fun for all players, rather than staying strictly focused on those of us who want strict simulations of varying realism.

Forza Horizon is a fresh branch on the Forza tree. It is truly a pleasure to drive the beautiful cars pedal to the metal through the magnificent scenery, but Forza Horizon feels a little bit inconsistent at times.

  1. I am not the biggest driving game guy, I have a car, it's fast, I'm good. But Horizon brings fun back to the genre like Burnout Paradise before it. We see a similar layout and gameplay as Forza 4, but the open world and character driven storyline help make this stand out amongst other driving games. A fun time and good game all in all,It doesn't seem to be as good looking as 4, however the new arcade style makes up for it in play. 2. I was so excited when I saw the E3 announcement but like many other games, this one was disappointing, I only played the demo but that was enough to make me not want to pay more than $20 for the game. They made it all too easy, it feels like a beautiful Burnout Paradise rip-off. At least Paradise had fantastic crashes, this game feels like they almost scrapped the physics and turned it into a "no practice" game. I was just sad to see Motorsport turned into this! Don't get me wrong, It is a super fun game and I enjoy it but like many other sequels it was disappointing. Expand
  3. (This is just my opinion) I was SO excited and really wanted this! I didn't want to watch the Review Videos on any gaming site... I wanted to get a wonderful shock when I stepped into the game for the first time. OMG!!! This wasn't what I expected. They said this was going to be an "Open World" game... WTF!!!!!!!!!!! You ass feels tight as hell in this game.. this is definitely not an Open World game. I thought it was going to be an Open World like GTA IV, Test Drive 2, Need for Speed Most Wanted... the Forza Horizon world is full of tight streets exactly like the racing streets in the Forza Motorsport 3 and 4 series. You always follow this street that keeps you tight in the race so you ALWAYS have to follow the road. In other words they could have called this Forza Motorsport 5 Colorado. So what to people do in this game? You win races and get these different colored wrists or something like that. Ever color represents your rank. What happens when you rank up? Not a single **** You can buy the most expensive cars even in the very beginning of the game... for real! I thought you could buy a beautiful house, decorations, clothes and many other stuff. I want my money back :D !!! Going to sell this to Gamestop soon. You don't explore the map just like you did in Test Drive 2 or GTA IV... or Assassins Creed 2. It's not an open world. The streets are linear and tight as hell.. you can't move away from these steel things that keeps you go straight so you always follow the road.. just like linear maps in Final Fantasy 13. You barely see the night :D it's always morning .. and when it's night, after 5 mins it's gone again. You simply don't do anything in this game in my opinion. You earn money and buy cars.. in Forza Motorsport 4 you earn money but feel that the money has a true value that you will spend on VERY expensive stuff.. in Test Drive 2 you would spend your money on your house decoration and your clothes. In this game I definitely didn't feel the value of the money because I always did the same thing.. spend them on cars because there wasn't anything else in the game. The multiplayer isn't multiplayer. You can't even challenge them in the "Open World". And you can even challenge then at the very beginning of the game and earn millions of money/credits... I don't even want to write anymore :D Don't even know what to talk about.. there isn't anything to do in the game. I'm on rank 5 in the Singleplayer. If you're also at that rank you would probably feel that this game is empty. It feels that they didn't even managed to complete the whole game. I would suggest that you borrow this game from a friend before buying it but it's of course up to you. Millions of people give games a 0 and millions of other people still give it 10.. so ... maybe it's just me. They even showed what you could to in the game in their trailers. This is NOT a Test Drive or GTA or Need for Speed like game.. this is not an "Open World" like game in my opinion. You can't explorer.. only drive on the streets. You can't get out of them. There are no people on the streets, only the computer. The map is not big and :D ... forget it.. don't want to write anymore. I could just keep on. The demo was why I bought this game but the quality of the original games was definitely something else. You will probably see more opinions like mine by other users on this page. But still... read the other comments where people vote 10 for it. It's up to you. I like Skyrim but gave it 8. Skyrim is still a monster game and everyone should try it out... because it was good. It wasn't bad. Expand
