Why don't we have any more recent icons?? Oh yeah, there are no classic games anymore...I DIDN'T SAY THERE CAN'T BE OR SHOULDN'T BE!! Just want to make that point very very clear...

megakick 315 pts

just put them in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, I bet Sony can get a good deal.

master_cpu3000 Rest assured he will be picked next time :)

Rocket Knight Adventures is such a bomb game.... I would say the best wannabe mascot Ive played fo sho....lol different generation but what about Glover? I always considered him a wannabe mascot...I remember that game being so awesome and now I can hardly control it....I need to pop it back in and start practicing I would love to play through it again

Missed a few... Mix it up a bit, how about next time no Japanese developers.

goufzero20 13 pts

Bet some of these old game better than games these days since alot of games are usually uner 12 hours these days and multiplayer. Exception of RPG but alot american style rpg getting dull as most seem revolved around mid-evil style europe. Least japanese games have more flair and often longer with sidequest making only 25%-30% of gmae rather than 75%

Rocket Knight Adventures was awesome and I'm definitely going to play Pulseman but it looked like a Megaman clone.

fend_oblivion 221 pts

Pulseman actually looks like a pretty good game.

May i ask?. is megaman x an underrrated character?..

And also, i would like to say.. thumbs up.

Yes there is the graphics music and everything in today's games.

But for some reason, they just cant beat the classic retro games..

otanikun 46 pts

AJAlucard I would have to agree in at least one aspect, the lovable blue bomber has pretty much been tossed aside by Capcom after cancelling the promised MMO and the highly anticipated Megaman Legends 3 and it's subsequent cancellation despite tons of fan support and their cancellation of the promised demo.

 KsomotoSan

It's the actual music from Ristar from the stage Planet Automaton.  All of the music from the game is pretty cool!

If this site were GT sonic would have been in the thumbnail :p

the sega genesis was a great console I am disappointed that johnathon didn't have gunstar heroes on this vid since it was one of the best games on the console in my opinion anyways...

LucasArts- 20 pts

Ohh GOD help me :- z

dee2000 5 pts

LucasArts- lol tha games were better then the games we have know

KsomotoSan 5 pts

Anyone know the song that's playing when he's presenting Ristar?Like where's it from and what's it called?

KsomotoSan 5 pts

Neeevermind, I just found it.It's from the game itself (as I thought) and it's called "Lock Up" if anyone else wonders.

Iranazi 23 pts

I've only played the Rockey Knight game on psn and frankly, I thought it was a good game :D then again I haven't played the original

macca366 147 pts

Poor Bubsy.. The 3D PSX game was horrendous, it LITERALLY gave me nightmares and gave me trouble sleeping after I'd played it as a kid. I had to listen to a Playschool cassette to ease myself to sleep

another show is needed great stuff lmaof funny guy brilliant

ARKphoenix2k 8 pts

Rocket Knight Adventures was awesome. I never owned the game but my friend did and I would always ask to borrow it off him. I really wish they released the original on XBLA/PSN instead of re-making it. Its good just not as good as the mega drive/genesis.

itchyflop 269 pts

ARKphoenix2k still got mine along with a few (100) other classics like eswat, gun star hereos, general chaos, gynog, herzog zwei, thunder force, rolling thunder, shadow dancer and fighting masters. Man they were the days i used to love my md.

itchyflop 269 pts

trauma most foul ohhh brilliant hahaha

I loves me some Jonathan Toyad....He is great when commentating on "Now Playing".  I like his unique taste in games....sometimes he comes up with stuff ive never even heard of and i enjoy that.

RajWalia77 22 pts

The Guy was more entertaining than the games he was talking about.

aldronlin 126 pts

great videos, sure brought back lots of good memories.  But i found that i have hard time following his English..... is it just me?

rushiosan 25 pts

I like some SEGA mascots, like Ristar and Knuckles. But most part of SEGA games are bad while comparing to what other companies had to offer. Sonic never was a good game in my opinion, it was just innovative in the 2D platforming aspect. It's a damn frustrating game in the end.

TasteOmega 6 pts

all are kool games and one of my reconmendations is tomba for the ps

mwu_fraga 9 pts

Dont forget Cool Spot and Chester Cheetah Too Cool To Fool!!!!! :D

j04353 11 pts

Any video that gives Pulseman it's dues is awesome in my book.

tybearmvt 17 pts

how bout Vectorman and  Kid cameleon?

JasonHartMaivia 5 pts

No one ever talks about Rainbow Mika Nanakawa.  There aren't many videos about her at all.

So sad...  I think she's awesome.

Devil_Spooky 33 pts

Rocket Knight Adventures is one of the best games I ever played, the remake is good too, the 2 sequels to the original... not so much....

A forgotten gem, Spot goes to Hollywood.

And another great one that's gonna be released on PSN/XBLA next month is the original ToeJam & Earl.

MR_TUBBy 71 pts

While it certainly isn't as obscure as Ristar or Sparkster, I feel like my old favorite franchise Banjo-Kazooie is joining the ranks of "lost and forgotten."  I become even more sad when I think about what has become of the parent company..

Toonzbery 15 pts

Damn...i need subtitle for this.

emanwell 35 pts

He should mention Megaman X, who is being cruelly neglected by capcom

mr_toffee 11 pts moderator

emanwell Don't worry. We're working on giving Mega Man and his X counterpart his due. Hang tight!

DeathwachMarine 67 pts

I also think Earthworm Jim is alittle too well known to be one of the featured characters in one of these episodes....

DeathwachMarine 67 pts

Damn, there was this one series of titles that came out for the gameboy color, featuring a squirrel as the main character you play as, but for the life of me, I cant remember the name... They were pretty good too

supa_badman 43 pts

man, Ristar was the greatest genesis game ever.

But it's definitely one of those games that wouldn't have survived the 3D jump.

pazshepard 21 pts

Vectorman, Rocket Knight Adventures, Ristar... Man I miss my Genesis :(

Stardust7 57 pts

I remenber to play that game pulseman...Its very cool and hard lol

TrueGB 611 pts

Rocket Knight Adventures got a pretty crappy remake on XBLA and was left out of the Sonic Mega Collection+ for some odd reason (Comix Zone got in though). I miss that game. I also enjoyed Dynamite Heady mainly because its style was so similar to Rocket Knight.

Bangerman15 114 pts

holy crap I remember playing rocket knight adventures back in the day! totally forgot about that game

Superzone 514 pts

I've never played Rocket Knight Adventures.  Looks awesome!  Is it on the Wii VC or PSN?
