Grand Theft Auto 5's release date will be "Spring 2013" according to some credible-looking posters which have been photographed and posted on a Polish GTA 5 fansite.
The posters on gta-five.pl show both the recently revealed GTA 5 artwork which Rockstar posted last week, along with a new piece in the same style that looks to be of the chap we saw running away from the police in the first trailer. They look convincing, and unfinished - still in uncut form like our covers do when we get them from the manufacturer, which suggests somebody's snagged them direct from a printing press. The original site's gone down under the sheer force of excitement, so we've posted them here. Previous retailer leaks have already pointed at a spring 2013 release date for the game.
You can guarantee this news will send a shiver down the spine of other publishers planning to release anything early next year: GTA's sales dominance is so assured that everybody else packs up and goes home for a fortnight. Which means that the people toiling away on Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Aliens: Colonial Marines, Gears of War: Judgment and the other big releases are definitely not going to get any extra time to get them finished.
There's still a chance that Rockstar won't have the game ready in time - it doesn't release stuff until it's good and ready, and as this is GTA we're talking about, it could come out during a tsunami and still sell well - but this looks like a pretty convincing reason to start saving your pennies for next spring. It doesn't say polish posters, it's a polish fansite. It is either the most credible fake poster in the world ever or it's true. It's hardly a surprise, when we didn't get any info about a oct-nov release before E3 we all knew it was going to be 2013 and probably may.

I'm still not too fussed by the game at present. Max Payne drew me in because it was something a bit different from what I've been playing recently (I'm well aware its bullet-time effects were well used in the previous iterations in the series). I think in terms of controls and play style taking some tips from Payne would go a long way compared to IV, which I found generally difficult to play.
I'm not sure what there is that's new and exciting to draw me in to this game. I played 3 on the PC and had IV (including episodes) and didn't think it was all that.
So far the only new inclusions are things which were in previous games like Vice City and then cut out again, hardly inspirational.
Not that it will matter to Rockstar whether I fork out my cash or not in the long run, since it clearly will be popular by its name alone, but I hope they have changed things up, particularly if this is going to be a console-bridging title with the next Xbox.

To be fair Jam there is no information about the game except what people have assumed is present in game from a few screen shots and a video. It looks to be getting a few bits cut from San Andreas to IV back, though everything present in Vice City was in IV except the property thing, which should never have left. Planes and bikes are back, everything else either was already in it or is new - tennis, hijacking etc. There's literally nothing to get excited about, but the 'not knowing' is getting people, like me, quite excited as our imaginations run wild.
Amazon have started taking preorders for 360 and no other platform, or so it would seem at first glance. Weird.

There is no demo, they may have demonstrated the game to the press, but not a demo as we download them. I doubt they'd show us what they showed the press though, they like it to be specific bits shown to the public.

No sorry i didn't mean a downloadble demo. for us.But surely the demonstration for the press wasn't just screen shots etc. as i understood it was a demo. of the game running eg like E3.They hopefully might release that as a movie,trailer etc.
Plus given how many pages the GI article is supposed to be maybe they think they don't have to release anything more.But they won't be able to deny any questions put their way surely.

I suppose you could argue both are the same really though lol.
It's also worth noting the gta article might not be 18 pages long, the way it is worded suggests the preview of the issue and thats cover art will be 18 pages and be revealed, rather than revealing the games cover art and the article being 18 pages. I take it you read cvg where the 'journalists' just type up whatever they misread. I hope the gta v thing is 18 pages though, that would be awesome.
