Kevin VanOrd joins a fireteam and makes his way through this video review for Medal of Honor: Warfighter.
What a surprise, EA churning out another placeholder until the next installment of it's primary franchise, Battlefield 4.This game is too bloody glitchy and compromised to give a shot. *Aimbot/wallhackers in 1 out of every 5 games. >If you try to report a player for cheating, it gives you a spot to put the battlelog to give the server specifications and stats, but there are no Battlelogs kept on WF.*Obvious port: ESC key has no function in the in-game MP menu and even Battlelog only serves to load up the game itself, only to revert back to the in-game MP menu.*Same unresolved issues of Battlefield 3: spawn camping, grenade spamming, explosive whoring, etc
Great story scenario but mid ochre graphics from a frostbite 2 engine could have been much more refined. As a game in whole it was just very average and not mouth dropping as I thought it would have been The score is very fair.
People don't deal with unique very well, if something comes out it is either "the same" as the game they like, meaning, a cheap copy, or it tries to be different and gets slated for being different. MOH at the moment is an almost but not quite (although most reviews are pretty harsh) game, they are trying to be different, getting killed for it, but leaving enough bugs and issues to give people a reason to bash it and ignore what worked. Multiplayer is pretty entertaining and has great potential based on mechanics, but they need new level designers! Here is a crazy idea, release some tools, like the community do it!
Personally loved the campiagn from the one two years ago and this one just added onto its greatness, havent put to much time into the multiplayer as now im distracted with assassins creed 3 but from what i did play it was quite fun.
Don't listen to this cheap review, this game is an 8.5
I'm a bit surprised by this. The E3 demo looked promising.
SavoyPrime unfortunately big budget studios spend more effort on making good demos than good games these days
This is an entertaining game, I bet 99% of the haters haven't even played it. I'd score it higher than this review personally
Why did they downgrade on the gore? The last game had bullet wounds and dismemberment. In this game it doesn't even feel like a war, it's like they want kids to think war is a fun arcade game like modern borfare.
i will still play singleplayer, i will stay true to my Medal of honor ways as i have since the first one back in 99.....(the only multiplayer i ever got into was allied assault!!)
I hate CoD but this MoH is even worst then the last one! guys dont matter how you feel about those games dont buy it. Its a fucking frustrating piece of shit. worst multiplayer ive played in a long time.
saoe well thats wat u think, u cant tell ppl what not to do just cuz u didnt like the game...for me it was an amazing game...n for the record i hate CoD, too.
good game for 30-40 euro's but I think not worthy the 60 euro's
is there a split screen mode for this?
terpogi no there's no split screen provided in this game...
I don't understand why people are attacking this game, recently everyone started to take sides with both either BF3 or MW3, I like both games but that doesn't mean they are the only ones!
you people keep camparing this game to COD and BF3. you need too stop and realize it is it's own unique game.
pens35 Doesn't seem like most people agree. There ISN'T much unique about it... that's the problem.
SP 4/10
MP 8/10
graphics 8/10
sound 9/10
If you've got some skill then the MP is for you and is worth the price alone. Its nice change of pace and the weapons customization is outstanding.
I saw this coming. Let's try filling those gigas with less graphics and more story, I mean, indie developers are launchin 8bit themed games, I'm not saying that they should come out with an FPS like heretic, or doom, just use, some graphics from, I don't know, 5 years ago, and try to make a good FPS, less movie kind of action, more open world, with a good history, a nice battlefield with lots of changing situations, great graphics don't always mean great games. And of course, you critics, in some way, this situation is partially your fault, along with fanboys and that kind of people.
Score seems a bit low, expected at least a 7-8. Will still play it though just because I loved the old Medal of Honor series on the playstation 1. Classic game.
danger close used a awesome engine to make crappy game, i will definitely wait for battlefield 4
bluebird08 have u played the game or just saying that based on the reviews? cuz at least the campaign beats the shit out of BF3's campaign....
Why is McShea making an article attacking modern shooters in general but tacking it on MOH?? Sorry didn't want to give his articles more views. It's sad to see what you guys are letting him do...
shaka_fo00o exactly, this is getting unbelievably personal
FUCK IGN!! that stupid website keeps deleting users comments they do not like automatically. thats the biggest humiliation and disrespect to ppl's opinions, such a fuckin dictatorship!!!!! stupid paid-off-by-sponsors website!!!
ezfryk Hmm...why on earth would they delete such meaningful & well-written posts? Your comment is most thought-provoking. Dictator.....no, that movie was rubbish. Cohen is far more enjoyable when making Americans look stupid.
frazzz619 lol, i think u kinda misunderstood what i was talking about in the comment above, i dont remember mentioning the movie "Dictator"....
good for download
I don't understand the review score of Medal of Honor warfighter on Gamespot. Listen guys o.k. The game has a few rough edges but the. Whole concept is great.Give it a break any way who heard the Upcoming call of duty being sci - fiction garbage give it a TEN why. Don't you.
Nikosnik123 it's been underrated, no doubt...did u see IGN's review and score for this game??????
The graphics look amazing, but is it just my player or does this game have major performance issues? Frame rate drops and what's that one were one half of the screen lags behind the other? v-sync? or lack of v-sync....
id rather see all those player and weapon skins on BF3 it would be an icing on the fucking cake XD...just saying
i would not doubt that EA will shut down danger close after making this game
Such a pity..
BF3 is better than this game no doubt save your money!
I think I stick w/ playing BF3 for now.
My solution? Make the game 20$ and multiplayer only.
spencerdawson I would buy that
I love the reviews in gamespot. IGN just bashed the crap out of it, at least this guy gives it a fair chance. Like the reviewer I had happy/cringe moments all the way through. Playing MoH:W was a strange experience and at the end I felt the series deserved better. I think danger close screwed the pooch on this one, just a cheap rip-off with micheal bay inspired cut scenes with no real substance what-so-ever.
Saying that, the driving missions are insanely fun and gripping. The guns feel like guns, the firefights are intense, and not to sound CoDish, it looks lovely. I felt the Game deserved far more respect from its creators, who just used it as a cash-cow.
Il rent the next one lol.
snochiebochie totally agree with ur review comparison, i mean IGN has obviously been given a who-knows-what prize from stupid Activision to smash MoH: W before their upcoming Black Craps 2 release, just wait till u read IGN's review about that game (which from the trailers and gameplay videos looks to be the stupidest FPS ever)!! Sure I agree that MoH: W has lots of bugs and glitches, but that doesnt give reviewers any reason to just take their shit on this game and forget about all the tremendously fun and exciting moments in this game. Overall had a great experience playing the campaign, and definitely believe that the game deserves muuuch more score than this.
I stopped watching by 2:10. It is like someone have pressed the rewind button of my gaming experience in the last 5 years.
Just a copy of the copy of the copy.
Did they really think there is space left for this cheap copy paste garbage ?
dobpat i wonder if u also say this about cod...
@winner-ps3 Of course i do. But to be honest, the bigger reason why i stopped after mw1 were the technical backsteps in multiplayer. Matchmaking, no dedicated ranked server and so on... This was even more readon for me, than the repetition. But the repetition itself would be also readon enough.
Wow they bashed this in
All I got from this was blah blah blah, buy Halo 4 on the 6th, blah blah, don't waste your time with this title. Cheers!
shockerguy00 That's a convenient plug for Halo IV. :P
To me, after watching gameplay of this game, it just looks like a downgraded version of Battlefield 3. I don't really understand why EA feels like they need to have two series of modern warfare games. I always thought, and still believe, that the Medal of Honor series, is only good when it is a World War 2 game series, and leave the modern combat to Battlefield
cheeseburgergod cod has a 2 military shooters....
i dont get the hate, after listening to this review i expected a 7, worst case. So many people love this game SP and MP, it looks great and i cant wait to get it and play it myself. I wont let reviews effect my choice in games
