Assassin's Creed III Wii U 'exactly the same' as Xbox 360, PS3, PC
Creative director says upcoming Nintendo iteration not a "radically diminished version," and is on par with console and PC cousins.
Gamers who decide to hold out for the Wii U version of Assassin's Creed III won't need to worry about the game skipping features or content from its console and PC cousins. Creative director Alex Hutchinson recently told Games Industry International that the Wii U version is no different than the Xbox 360, PlayStation, or PC iterations.
"It is exactly the same game that's on the other platforms," Hutchinson said. "And I know that sounds ridiculous, but it's been a long time since I've shipped a game on more than three platforms where you could say it's all the same. It's not like some radically diminished version, so that's exciting."
Though the main game and experience in Assassin's Creed III on Wii U may be on par with the other versions, only PS3 gamers will be able to play the four-chapter Benedict Arnold missions. Those missions were announced yesterday, and see game hero Connor attempt to foil Arnold's plot to betray the West Point camp. It is not clear if these missions will be made available later for other platforms.
Assassin's Creed III debuts on Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 30, with a PC release slated for November 20. The game is a launch title for the Wii U in North America, shipping alongside the system in that region on November 18.

what happened to AC3 on WiiU running 60FPS at 1080p? Now we are supposed to be happy that it's not "radically diminished"?... well I'm not. And I certainly hope the PC version isn't the same as the other three versions. That would be more a disgrace than some kind of accomplishment.
4-Legged-Shark I agree, as I've pre-ordered the PC version, all the other versions have looked better than their console counterparts visually, I see no reason for that to change now.
I wonder why there would be a question about AC3 U having less content than every other version of the title. It's releasing later than the 10/30/2012 versions and on new hardware that's supposedly superior (marginally) to the 360 and PS3. Was this an actual concern or was it made up press propaganda? I'm not aware of Ubisoft having a hoodwink reputation where they dismiss content for other consoles because LOLZROFLCOPTER. Did I miss something in the past?

12eece robbiejones Both of you need to do some research. "Nintendo's hardware has never been ahead"? The SNES was more powerful than the Megadrive/Genesis, the N64 was more powerful than the PS1, and the GameCube was more powerful than the Dreamcast, PS2, or Xbox.

Zelseisdabest If Sony has a 4000p HD TV Im sure they will add 4K support to the PS4. I doubt the PS4 and 720 will have a huge leap over the Wii U like the PS3/360 had over the Wii but it will probably still be significant.

demonkingx5 The same could have been said about Full HDTVs when the 360 and PS3 came out.. They were expensive at the time too but now look, anyone who buys a TV buys an HDTV. Even 3DTV's were expensive but then they added 3D support to the PS3 through a firmware update. And they can't add 4K support through a simple update which means it will have to be included with the hardware. It's upto the game developers and customers if they want to use the 4K resolution supported. it's not like the PS4 will be incompatible with current TVs.

ugh Nintindefenders and and the Haters at round 2000. But here the truth we will not know a systems full capabilities until 2 years in its life at the least. And its stupid to think that the Wii U is on par with 7 year old systems. The Wii u has double amount of RAM and the IBM Power 7 quad core surpasses the PS3 CPU in terms of power and cache. All we don not know is the GPU inside and that is it, and GPU tech have come a very long way since 6 or 7 years ago, and Nintendo could easily find a cheap GPU that ll surpass 360 and PS3 GPU and guess what every console maker do when they use the GPU in there console, that right they optimize the living crap out of it. And BTW what I said about the CPU and the Ram is already confirmed so I do look forward seeing narcissists and haters raiding this comment. PS PC will always be the Superior gaming machine = P

desert_thief Thanks man and BTW I am not A PC freak like any any one who read this I am a Mutiplat dude but I grew up with C&C; and Nintendo and then Halo came to my heart and Uncharted did too I love all consoles from all company that I own but not as much with the Wii but it had awesome games.

Whenever I read articles such as these it re-opens my eyes to how profoundly ignorant most gamers are when it comes to the hardware that drives games. It is like the Wii-U is expected to feature radically different graphics for its 3rd party games, games that are supposed to run on PS360 and PC, you know the systems that are out now.
