A look at Need for Speed Most Wanted's single-player

Jordan Devore, PC Editor

In this video, we're given a feature-by-feature rundown of Need for Speed Most Wanted's single-player campaign. It's the kind of stuff that won't really seem new if you've been keeping up with Criterion Games' work over the years, but that's hardly disappointing.

The main point of contention for people seems to be the "if you can find it, you can drive it" mentality this game takes. I'm skeptical about vehicles being unlocked and findable throughout Fairhaven City as well -- that will seemingly take the fun (and misery) out of earning new cars the traditional way.

If you're a fan of the Burnout series, Criterion's Most Wanted should be on your radar already. Die-hard Need for Speed fans, on the hand, might not be quite so into this.

Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)

Im a HUGE burnout fan and while I loved hot pursuit it was not burnout. The lack of tackdowns and slow mo really pissed me off. This game was a maybe for me but its starting to look a lot better. I really want criterion to do a paradise city 2. This game seems to follow in the same vain and Im glad they went in that direction. I found the world in NFS: HP boring just driving around while in paradise there was always something to find or break. I put paradise very high on my list of game. Its one of the best open world games for me and I hope this can be better.
Need For Burnout Paradise Most Wanted 2 by Criterion.

That's all that need to be said.
NFS needs to bring drag racing back to the series. I never had so much fun in any racer as i did Underground 1 and 2. Those were the series' that got me into Racing games.
pascuz46: Im a HUGE burnout
CarbonRevenge: That's all that need to be said.
I agree with Chronic. Also, drifting tracks! And the level of customization for aesthetics and performance. Combine that with track-segmented city driving and drag racing, and it'd be gold.
Looks like the best of both worlds tbh. I just hope car damage is in. Seeing the aftermath of a wreck in Burnout was sickkk
im still partial to midnight club as my open world racer. gotta love driving on 2 wheels in a car cutting through traffic to win a race.

loved burnout for the crashing, checking, speed, crash mode. HATED paradise.
loved NFS for tracks, cars, cops. loved original MW and HP2(best one yet)

this game just mixes up every thing i should be against.
Volks, surprisingly I didn't notice the grammar error until you I reread my comment. Thanks though for adding alot to the discussion though.
