We decide whether to suck blood or not in Skyrim's first DLC.
boring game after a few hours. crap repetitive quests, TERRIBLE combat system even worse is the ability to climb down/up a mountain on a horse going down the side. guilds? you can join them all no problem, as a mage you can out last a warrior in hand to hand - since you can have 1000 health potions... list goes on and on. yet this somehow got such a high score? i will not be trusting these stupid sites anymore.
20$ is too much
this DLC is only worth10$ at most
but
if youre a dedicated skyrim person
this DLC is a MUST
i would actually like to play this dlc because im lvl 81 and ive completed pretty much everything i want to do, but i cant because i happen to have a ps3. feels like discrimination for buying a ps3 and also it looks like microsoft are trying to get more people to buy an xbox. but why should i buy an xbox just to get dlc earlyer and why should ps3 players and also pc players be punished for microsofts money making scheme
Sounds like the issues are pretty much identical to Skyrim (original), and it gets a 7!?

Geon106 infinity_ See that's exactly why they put the price that high! Because suckers like you are sure to buy whatever they make. I bought Skyrim too and its a nice game...but im far from a zombie that just mindlessly spam buys whatever is being thrown out.
@Carnivalshow : Games in general are made for entertainment not underground subculture...so selling out isn't true when they stay true to there passion.

carnivalshow Not really a sell out considering all of the licensing agreements and marketing allowed a game such as elder scrolls to even come into fruition. (+ the xbox users were the beta testers for us PC users, very few bugs so far.
I have an xbox as seen from my review long ago I think its wrong and greedy what they did here tho and you should not buy there other games. Proof i got an xbox 360 check out my review right when skyrim came out was on xbox 360 i got them all pc ps3 and xbox 360. I like them all I think this is really crappy what they did tho and people of every system should not buy there games any more. power to the people.
If you are a huge fan of skyrim dawnguard like me and you own a pc or ps3 buy this game tho because they came out on xbox first don't buy any other of there games to get even.
I can't understand why reviewer ran down on the animation morphing system? FYI the AMS for the werewolf takes even longer and it last nothing compared to the vampire morph state. What would you expect, not having any animation at all and just trasform in a blink? That review was not fair, even for an RPG lover who's supposed to be objective.
Sometimes I really miss Oblivion. I think Skyrim is a much better game, so it's kinda funny. Except that Oblivion feels much more like a single player MMO than Skyrim does. It had a LOT of gameplay.

Didn't Bethesda once stated that the DLC for Skyrim would be HUGE; nothing like we have ever seen before!? And now all they can come up with is this!? Looks more like money making beats creativity .
geitenvla A lil disappointed as well, but some of the new features are nice. Though they kept teasing "huge" things were coming. I was hoping for new lands something similar to Shivering Isles.

How I hate studios for releasing a great game (a really great game) and then, AFTER MORE THAN half a year, when every normal gamer has already completed the game (or if it doesn't have an end explored it all) and is fed up with it they release a goddamn DLC, one after another for a couple of years. Better if they worked on a new game already instead of this attempt to suck money...

My general impression is that DLCs are more expensive than when the same content is provided on DVD (the case with expansions for Fallout 3, Elder Scrolls etc), which is of course insane, considering there's no copying, warehousing and distribution costs for DLCs.

Does anyone really remember the DLC on oblivion? it was about the same percentage for the shivering isles, so yeah why complain? if you are a fan of skyrim 20 bucks for 12 hours is a good win to me, I'll buy
Trogeton And that exactly why I waited until the GOTY edition was release for Oblivion. Don't get me wrong, Shivering Isles was a great DLC, but for $29.99, which it still is on PSN and XBL, which Is funny, GTFO here Bethesda! More power to ya, if you think it's worth $20. I can happily wait another year to get everything for a reasonable price.

Why would someone play Skyrim with a 3rd person view?
JC_AEK4ever It's nice to occasionally do it (especially when you get new, cooler armor), but you're right, people who strictly play in third-person are crazy.
JC_AEK4ever just when walking around in the world. at least i can turn my character around this time, unlike oblivion.
isshiah I meant when you are in a fight and you need to aim. Walking is easy... aiming is not.

I play in 3rd person veiw. The only time i play in first person is when i use my bow, looting things off of shelves and tables, and speaking to characters at times oh and sometimes when i sneak. Plus in third person view you get to see combat animations you don't get to see while in first person view, especially the kill cam animations.
This would just be 20 dollars for crossbows and dragonbone weapons for me, too rich for my blood. We should get those free in a regular update.
The vampire form looks like a bad mod, the animation is stiff and feels like the good old "NoClip" cheats of past times + a bad model.
I think the all this vampire theme is so out of context with the Nordic mythological&historic; theme of the original .
and this is why i play on PC lol...modders can make a much better game than Bethesda and its all free :P currently i have over 70 mods and i dont think i could play without them lol
