Celebrated? Well, at least by me. I gave it one of our highest rated reviews of the year and for good reason: IT'S AWESOME! And now that it's on Steam for $7.99. You "Ugh, I only buy Steam games"-people have no excuse not to buy!

A gentleman reviewer never senselessly gushes about a game twice so I'll just quote my old review here:

It is a meeting point between old game design and new, with every other moment punctuated with some of the most thrilling level and boss design to grace the genre. As improbable as it may sound, this game made by one guy not only stands up to the classics, it is every bit as good as Gunstar Heroes and Contra

For you cheapskates, I'll be giving out codes for the game on my Twitter, later today.

Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)

Neat. Start spooging those codes at a GMT friendly time good sir and I may see if I can grab it. If not, to payday I shall ride!
Well then? START SPOOGING!
Damn right celebrated. Well, it damn well should be.
Buy. This. Game.
Wow this looks amazing...Man. Will get ASAP.
I enjoy Contra. Will check it out.
Just played the demo. It is pretty fun and much improved over the original! It reminded me a bit of Half-Life 2, since physics have an important role on gameplay.
Does it have achievments now? I might double dip. Bought this awhile ago, non steam.
definitely a combination of Hard Corps(the PSN/XBLA not Contra) as well as Shinobio's scarf :P
Um, that screenshot happened JUST like that in Contra: Shattered Soldier...I'm assuming it's some poorly veiled homage...? Looks fun, but hopefully there are some original ideas in there too.
Dude, this sounds Bitchin' radical. I can't wait to try this out.
Played the demo, found the floaty loose controls very unappealing, using mouse&kb;, and controller. After having to restart the demo twice because the games physics prevented me from progressing, I uninstalled it. Probably wouldn't play this for free
Aw man, I have no Twitter :-( Still, I shall pick this up at some point in the future anyways, it looks awesome.

Review: A New Beginning: Final Cut

I've just saved the planet, and I couldn't be less enthused about it. A New Beginning is a self-styled eco-thriller with a spot of time travel and science fiction thrown in for good measure. It launched in Europe a couple of ...   more
