About
I'm a founding member of Destructoid, poster of seemingly random cute animals pictures, and tend to be shockingly inoffensive. I'll be your crying shoulder, indeed.

Drop me a line if you have a pitch, questions related to anything Dtoid, or just want to chat. I don't write about PC games exclusively, though that is where I spend much of my time these days. For best results, reach me at either jordan [at] destructoid [dot] com or @DtoidJordan

I do a live streaming show based out of Portland, OR with News Editor Conrad Zimmerman and his wife Katrina nearly every Saturday at 10:00am Pacific on Twitch.tv/Destructoid called Saturday Morning Hangover. No, we aren't actually hungover ... usually, but we might as well be as we play independent games of dubious quality for your viewing pleasure. I occasionally do a podcast with a few other current and ex-Dtoid contributors, Zero Cool, as well. Hack the planet!

And since I don't mind not having a life, on top of all of these gaming-related time-eaters, I am a marketing student. Hopefully that explains why I mysteriously vanish from the Internet every once in a while. You should see my inbox! I'll graduate soon enough, but thankfully, I much prefer writing about videogames than peddling snake oil, so I won't be going anywhere.

Steam Greenlight now supports software and 'concepts'

Valve allowing non-game software to be sold through Steam seemed like the next logical step for the platform, but the company has gone one step further. Now, developers can post this kind of software on Steam Greenlight for t...   more

Razer is giving away a custom Star Wars-themed Blade

The Razer Blade is one of those products that I'll likely never own, but damn if it isn't fun to daydream about. This custom-made Star Wars: The Old Republic Blade doesn't exactly help the tech envy. One lucky person will win...   more

PC-only survival horror title Outlast shows promise

Even before watching this trailer for Outlast, I was happy on the basis that more independent designers are trying their hand at survival horror. This is currently in development at Montreal-based Red Barrels, a studio made ...   more

Upon seeing the price of Forza Horizon's season pass, you had to know that a bunch of post-release content was planned. One of the more appealing packs -- as someone who has not yet played the game, but likes going off-road -...   more

Nintendo: Pikmin 3 is scheduled for a spring 2013 release

The new Iwata Asks column covers the Wii U GamePad in great detail from the perspective of the people who worked on it, but that isn't all that's mentioned. Showing that we ought to read all of those notes, one of them (via N...   more

BioWare lays out specific SWTOR free-to-play restrictions

BioWare and Electronic Arts held off admirably, but implementing a free-to-play model in Star Wars: The Old Republic seemed inevitable to keep the player base from falling off. If you're looking to swoop in without paying a s...   more

Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is out now on PC

Don't watch this launch trailer for Chivalry: Medieval Warfare if you're the kind of gentle soul who doesn't like seeing people's heads fall off. Fair warning: there's a decent amount of that in here. This first- and third-p...   more
