Kingdom Hearts 3D Video Review

I have a feeling once they have made Kingdom Hearts III or if its secretly in production, it will probably could be on both Nintendo Wii and PlaySation 3.

If I bought a 3DS I'd look into getting this game but then I'll have to look into getting all the rest of the Kingdom Hearts games. THEN, I'll have to look into understanding there messy storylines! And I thought the Zelda timeline was confusing...

The plot of kingdom hearts has gotten way too complicated, to the point where sometimes I think they are just forcing things to make sense. This complication is probably caused by all the extra information from the 'side' KH games. They end up having to force all of it to connect with the original plot and what we have is a story that is hard to make sense of.

I concluded this when reading the text recaps of past KH games in KH3D. For example, the character Riku has appeared as replica riku, digital riku, and ansem in three seperate occasions and this happens with other characters too, AND there are the nobodies counterpart of the real characters...seriously wtf?

Want so bad.

I kind of miss having kingdom hearts on the playstation

although i initially liked the KH franchise i've got several problems with it:

- the almost satirical Japanese art style

- for all the "systems" the combat always devolves into mashing the attack button

- the pretentious dialogue and themes

- one of the worst offenders of recycled assets over multiple titles

- and always having to wait 5 years for at best a lukewarm game

they continue story of kingdom hearts bbs in DS !

why not PSP ?!

enough with the spin off titles, make another AAA kingdom hearts title

gamespot gave birth by sleep a 7.5 and now kh3d a 7.0 . but the user is score much higher than this. maybe they believed that the world is a bad place and there isn't always be fairytales and a good ending of every individual living on it. wow, so much for a ray of hope this guys displaying

I've played all of the Kingdom Hearts games (unfortunately every single time I get one I think it's going to be amazing) And the storyline still is beyond me.  Still yet I like this game.  7 seems right.  I really, really like the opening sequence.  

I need to get my copy of this...

Its just so dissapointing - I mean like 7 worlds for a WHOLE game?! I can assure you that those worlds can be finished within less than 20 hours - thats it - the end of a game. And since some of the worlds are frustrating like Monstro Belly - you dont really want to come back to the game afterwards.

Does anyone still remember first Kingdom Hearts with a TON of content - Disney Princesses saving, Disney characters summoning, and unlockin the story of a heartless? Well - its no more. Instead of that there is a mixture of a super complicated story based on previous games that thousands of players have no idea.

Sora, who is Roxas, but Sora, Riku who is a virtual Riku in a dream world, Axel who is not Axel, and wtf like 13 Xehanorts?!

This game deserves 7 and no more because the content is not good enough.

This is the best looking game for 3DS that you can find,with amazing music, twisted hard to understandble story plot, and less than 20 hours of game play content.

Period.

What no mention of the other half of this game? Final Fantasy... Seems like a bit of a half assed review to talk about just Disney.  Haven't played the game myself yet though so if there's hardly any feature of Final Fantasy then I retract my statement!

The graphics look good. Gameplay looked smooth also. Very nice. Might have to check this one out.

sick of all the handheld KHgames

I like how Square Enix just HAS to have a game from everyone of their main series on every new gaming system that comes out. Maybe if they would have made these side games all for the same system (or 360 and PS3 better yet) I would have bought them.

Now excuse me while I wait for KH3 more, and if it has a title like: Kingdom Hearts 3: Protectors of Light, there will be bloodshed.

Square Enix please stop pissing me off by giving me knock off KH games, all I want is the third installment with no additional wording to the title.

@lord_luke This is a main part of the story.. Isn't thatt hard to notice. It is Sora and Rikus mark of mastery exam.

Still waiting on KH3.... I don't want side stories, I want to know what happens during the main story.

I would offer that someone look up a Youtube video that explains the storyline of Kingdom Hearts, but I couldn't find one. Probably because it is all over the place. Still I love these games and will keep playing them!

I went to the launch event at Nintendo World in NYC and the game turned out to be really good.The event was supposed to end at 1pm but all the copies sold out at around 10:30-11am.I even sold my copy for 70$ to one of the fans who was willing to pay that much for it.I just wanted the 3ds pouch that you get for purchasing the game at Nintendo World since i have the collectors on reserve.All in all its a good game, and any fan of the series will be satisfied with it. 

7/10 is apretty good score. Nonetheless, this is on my radar when I eventally get a 3DS.

I guess Squre-Enix didn't bribe the reviewer the way EA and Activision does.

If only they took the D and everything after that in the title, it would have been the game we all have been wanting for years.

I liked KH1 and 2 but have not really enjoyed any of the handheld entries. This one doesn't look like anything special to me, either, sadly.

I really hate monster hunting systems, too. The last kind of party member I want in an RPG is some silly creature that has no bearing on the plot if even any dialog. :[

Oh, well, no big deal. I'll pass and keep my eye on a KH3 if it ever surfaces. I'm sure a lot of others will be quite pleased with this game.

I've never played any of these games.  Not that I think they look awful or something...I've just never played them.  Look entertaining enough though.

Well 358/2 was easily my favorite in the series, so being on a handheld does not mean that it's going to be bad. I will admit though that I want them to finally work on KHIII. Not because I want them to rush and 'make the next console game already!' in fact it's quite the opposite, I want them to put out KHIII so that they can end the series before they drive it into the ground.
