Former South Carolina associate head coach Katarina Petrovic is heading to Florida International as their new head coach. Petrovic was born in Serbia and played for the Gamecocks from 1999-2002.

Win, lose or draw, the singles championship was going to be in favor of the Cardinal. Stanford's Nicole Gibbs edged teammate Mallory Burdette in three sets to garner the 2012 singles title.
