11:46AM EDT October 23. 2012 - Who knew that Lady Gaga had a green thumb.

Actually, according to Duke University, the colorful songstress now has 19 of them.

In what can certainly be dubbed an interesting move, the singer has had 19 species of fern named after her.

In particular, one "newly discovered Mexican species is being dubbed Gaga monstraparva (literally monster-little) in honor of Gaga's fans, whom she calls 'little monsters,'" per the press release.

Certainly, it's not the first time a superstar has crossed over into other species. Earlier this year, Australian scientists named a horsefly after Beyonce.
