It was kind of like this only the people were better looking.

A beautiful thing happened at PAX Prime this year. Late Saturday night (or early Sunday morning, depending on how you look at it), after a long day of video games and alcohol, Corduroy Turtle (me) convinced nearly everyone in hanging out at [redacted]'s house to cram into a room in the back room and record a quick podcast..... on a single Rock Band microphone.

Was this the best idea? Yes. Was it executed flawlessly? Not necessarily. Still, it turned out better than I expected and it was exciting being surrounded by a bunch of my friends. Who would that be? Well let's see - myself, knutaf, Occam's electric toothbrush, Qalamari, Magpie, mrandydixon, bbain, Law of Thermal Dynamics, Beyamor, SuperMonk4Ever, SteezyXL, Fame Designer, Wolf Girl and Colton Phillips! That's a buttload of people!

Come and listen to our impressions of PAX! Thanks again to everyone for entertaining this silly idea such a ridiculous hour.

Ep. 021 "Enough To Fill A Shortbus"

You may find yourself turning the volume up in order to hear certain segments better but BEWARE, sometimes a jerk yells into the mic. A thousand apologies for the mic movement sound.

Sadly, I didn't read this until after I listened to the episode, but it's forgivable! I'm glad you guys had so much fun! Still jealous.

And the mic movement sound wasn't annoying, and completely understandable given the recording situation.
The sad thing is I think the mic movement problems were almost entirely due to the mic we picked. I have another headset mic that I think wouldn't have sounded like that. Oh well. For next time!
Should have used my Disney: Sing It! mic.
Good stuff guys.
My favourite part was the rock solid production quality.

Great show. I love how Corduory Turtle is neurotic that the usual show goes on too long. Dude, people listen to podcasts like this EXACTLY to hear fun people ramble and be awesome. If I wanted a lean and mean report on games I'd subscribe to... fuck, I don't even have an example for that because I'd never bother with something that boring and sterile. Just keep on rocking like you do.
PS - Holy shit you're 21 now, SMB. Get drunk!
WHOO! Another SMB!
I second what Wrenchfarm said.
I'm really glad this happened, it was a lot of fun to record :)

I think my favorite part was the totally awkward ending segment where you had everyone say their names, hahaha.
Several of those names I only saw for a few minutes, and even then barely said hi. I feel bad about that. :(
You guys need to start doing this again!
I know...I feel ashamed.
