CBS Films in Negotiations to Option 'Skyjack: The Hunt For D.B. Cooper' by Geoffrey Gray

CBS Films is in negotiations to option the rights to the New York Times bestselling novel Skyjack: The Hunt For D.B. Cooper by Geoffrey Gray.

Skyjack follows the story of D.B. Cooper, who infamously hijacked a Boeing 727 en route from Portland, Ore. to Seattle on the night of November 24, 1971. After demanding $200,000 and parachutes, Cooper jumped out over the Pacific Northwest and disappeared without a trace. He was never caught and is hailed as a folk hero. The action-comedy tracks the story of Cooper from the perspectives of three different people claiming to be him.

Will Gluck (Easy A) is in negotiations to produce and direct from a screenplay by Keith Bunin (TV's In Treatment).

Maria Faillace and Mark Ross are overseeing the project for CBS Films. Will Gluck is represented by UTA, Keith Bunin and Geoffrey Gray by CAA. The book was published by Crown.
