Microsoft's Xbox 360 console has hit 70 million sales since its launch in November 2005.
It's good and bad really. Good thing is that it is popular and M$ is not going to kill it (obviously) but bad thing is that they need to do a really good job of helping us Xbox gamer transit to the new platform. Anything less than a butter smooth transition will attract tonnes of critics. Let's hope M$ knows the size of the task ahead of it.
I hear multiple stupid comments about red ring but everyone forgets this is sonys third gen system and they still cant get it right. This is only microsofts 2nd gen system. Hell sony should have a flawless system by now and on another note sick of every sony fanboy saying how sony has so many first party games well duhh they should considering this is there third console. Now if they can only make a great game besides uncharted and yes for the fuctard sony fanboys killzone and resistance sucks balls and twisted metal and gt5 should have been a hell of alot better.
Salute
Those Replaced Xboxes are in that 70 million as well..
Zoza24 no there not fuck of fanboy no one wants u here.
jayjay444 Zoza24 reported for swearing.
anyone know what the star wars game at 45 seconds in is??
The ps3 doesnt fall that far behind with failures i had 4 replaced but nobody seems to say anything bad about it. The hardware nowadays is crap it is designed to break sooner to make you go buy a new one and spend more cash
Cue the controller wars
im currently on the 360, but for the next gen i am seriously considering going with a ps4, because all microsoft seems to care about anymore is kinect while sony is coming out with tons of new core games that look amazing, even with there pos controller.
holtrocks
PSP Vita? You honestly think the PS4 what fall short like the PS3?
Sony is all about Smoke and Mirrors.
holtrocks You think the xbox controller is better than the playstation one? lol fail
Cue the console war comments...
30 million RRODs then.
ryogapower Yeah mate, this is stupid. Sales are only that high because of the enormous failure rate of the older Xbox 360 model. I've had 4 360s myself, and two of them red ringed.
BAND1T18 ryogapower actually sales are this low because most casual gaming people/parents were discouraged from getting the 360 because of RROD else the 360 would be 100mil plus by now :)
BAND1T18 ryogapower And I went thru 3 ps2 and 2 ps3 I still have my original xbox and only on my 2nd xbox 360 since 1st launch
yes the wii sold more because it was a cheap ps2 dressed up like a mac
thequickshooter
The PS2 is still the best selling gaming console in history (DS not with standing). It looks like that ain't gonna change, even with the (seemingly doomed) 8th gen right around the corner.
nate1222 the ps2 sold like crack but it was such a piece of junk next to the ps1 in the form of games
beside battlefront 2 and budokai 3 the ps2 had shit games
and my first ps2 lasted just 1 fucking year until i bought the slim version
thequickshooter nate1222
so stupid
thequickshooter
So did Sony sell more PS3 then PS2 yet?
megakick nope because there is a tough compatetion between microsoft and sony (not to mention pc gaming)
thequickshooter your a pathetic think you know it all....
Bring back Start/Select.
yeah but MS spent about 20,000$ a piece to sell each one
Amazing.
