the AC3 ads make it even harder to want to play more AC...it's just too much of it.

I have no issue purchasing a DLC for a game, but sadly, the content you get nowadays just isn't worth the money they charge. If you want me to pay more for extra content after purchasing the original game, that extra content better be huge, extensive, and a big upgrade/update to the game. So far, though, I haven't really seen anything like this, so I pretty much stay away from any DLC.

And let me guess, all the 13-16 year old CoD players will buy this because hurrdurr cods like the best game evah! And devs and/or publishers will think this is what people want because idiots buy it, so what do they do? Make next DLC's even more expensive and/or with less content. You know, just what Capcom did with Resident Evil series, people bought shitty RE5 and ORC, so they made RE6 even more shittier.

so £30-£40 for the game followed by £40 for the extra maps etc  and the industry wonder why piracy is on the increase......

What I'm intrested in after all this is if Elite is now free and there is a different pass with BlOps2 then can I now get all the DLC that came with Elite?

DLC sucks. £40 for maps is such a waist of money, and having already been ripped off with the tax in the UK, it just makes gaming too expensive. My advice, wait for Game Of The Year Edition's which normally includes all the DLC previously released. Just be patient, Uncharted 3 GOYE just game out for £20 with all previous DLC included - BARGIN. If too many people pay for the overpriced BLOPS2 pass then developers will just keep pushing the price up to see how far it will go before there really is a boycot. C'mon guys - BOYCOT BOYCOT BOYCOT

See, the only DLC i have ever bought was from COD, Halo, and BF3. I remember back in the day in MW2 when they raised the price. Soon pretty much everyone followed and COD realized how much they could get way with it. Halo and BF3 are games that I enjoy a lot so I will buy DLC for it. But COD seems to be the most greedy. I mean look at MW3, it seem looks like MW2. They pretty much are trying to do as little work as possible while making as much money possible. The only reason I bought DLC for black op was zombies and MW3 i refuse to buy anything from them let alone Elite, which was retarded.

Making fun of your own audience doesn't seem very smart to me. Some people can really get hurt by you, just keep that in mind.

DLC is a double edged sword - you have developers for games like CoD that will use it to push maps and such that could have been included in the original package (especially the soon-after-launch DLC bullshit); then you have companies like Bethesda (Ps3 problems aside) that create a game with hundreds of hours of content, THEN they supplement the content with DLC.

Its up to the Individual purchaser to decide If Its worth It or not. Personally I stopped buying rehash of duty a couple of years back. I made the decision that Its not worth my money.

It's fu**ing simple. Some developers make incomplete games like COD, and others don't like Bethesda or creators of Total War. Their dlc add whole new chapters and stories to the game, And units. The fact that Bethesda makes glitchy games is a different issue

And this dear readers is why I haven't bought a game since halo 3. Pirating is good for the soul. Btw, already finished halo4 and deleted it. What a pile of shit, that was lol

Wait a minute are you telling me that you have to pay separately for Zombies?Wasn't it available in World at war as an unlockable game mode,you know after finishing the campaign?

Each version of Call Of Duty is practically a map pack of the previous version anyway. So the way I see it, Black Ops 2 is just a DLC for the first Modern Warfare.
