In this vignette for Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, game developer Warren Spector discusses Mickey’s magic paint brush and his use of “Paint and Thinner.”
If It didn't work for Mario in Sunshine. It ain't gonna work for Mickey. Sorry Mick, your out of touch.
Hurray for Nintendo 64 graphics.
@modernsocks Hey! The Nintendo 64 is a great system with beautiful graphics! Commandment #7 Thou shalt not speak ill of the Nintendo 64.
Cillah187 modernsocks Hehe, not to speak ill of it, I do love it, but those graphics are a bit dated.
modernsocks Cillah187
I would really like you to tell me which 64 game has similar quality in textures, similar polygon count, similar lighting and reflective effects or similar resolution.
modernsocks Cillah187 if you still play for graphics then something is terribly wrong with you. This generation of people sucks
From System Shock and Deus EX to Mickey Mouse, what a shame Spector, a damn shame.
Volgin dude its for kids, relax its no big deal
Volgin he seems to be happy with what he's doing. hes not out to please everyone nor was that ever his intention. i applaud him and will buy this game

Relax? does it look like I'm going batshit crazy over this? I'm voicing my disappointment over his career choice in a civil manner. He used to make great games aimed at mature gamers, and adults, and now he makes Mickey.
Volgin alriteFLY CiTizenMaSSaKre Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ;)

So? Kids usually get more enjoyment from gaming and it has more of an impact on their futures.

And why should I care since I'm not a kid anymore?
Volgin I understand your point, but I think you have look at it from his perspective.
Maybe he is at stage of his career, were he wants to try something more layback, something that it is different from the mainstream, something that he might enjoy more now over his previous work.
I am 30 years old, and I played the first Epic Mickey (Wii exclusive), and no matter how bad reputation it got, I really enjoyed it... I mean it is true that the game felt rushed/unfinished/unpolished on certain aspects and in some it felt very repetitive, but the overall idea/message behind the game it was what really captivated me. I actually do not think it is a kid's game, even if it has Mickey and Disney characters in it, but that is my opinion.
Actually my lead programmer (big fan of Warren Spector Ultima stuff) at my last job, bought the game just because of him, and even though he found it a bit weak, he was very happy that Warren Spector was trying/toying with different concepts.
Please this is not an attack, but just a mere exchange of opinions/ideas.
