Next Borderlands 2 DLC revealed?
PlayStation 3 Trophies reveal "Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage" expansion; no comment from Gearbox.
The next Borderlands 2 downloadable content may have been revealed. Joystiq was sent an image (below right) of PlayStation 3 Trophies that suggests a new add-on titled "Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage" is headed to Gearbox Software's latest shooter.
According to the Borderlands 2 Wikia page, Torgue is one of the weapons manufacturers in Borderlands 2. If the content's name is any indication, the new DLC may focus on the man who runs this outfit.
A Gearbox representative was not immediately available for comment.
If Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage is in fact the next Borderlands 2 expansion, it will follow Captain Scarlett and Her Captain's Booty, which released this week for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
There are currently four planned add-ons for Borderlands 2. Each will be available as a $10 standalone purchase or through the game's $30 DLC season pass. For more on Borderlands 2, check out GameSpot's review.
this game is a total joke. Ever since it has been released EVERY day theres a ne wfucking Borderland 2 DLC review on here. stop this shit
GamerOuTLaWz
you dont need to buy it if you dont want it
GamerOuTLaWz Go troll somewhere else. Borderlands is an amazing game.
At least they are aware they need to release new DLC as fast as they can to counter how repetitive the game becomes after a few hours of gameplay.
This was already reported long ago, when the idiot who worked for the company(not Gearbox btw) who makes the dlc for Borderlands, posted it on his online resume.
I was only disappointed that the first DLC didn't raise the level cap, 50 is way to freaking low.
Otherwise I like the DLC a lot :)
Why not had season pass and Scarlet dlc is worth to buy btw.
I'll wait for the GOTY.
DLC already...
With a slogan like "Bastard guns for bastard people" I'm really interested to see the face of Torgue.
More BOREDerlands!? What more could we want!?
Egotte gotta luv them haters...
Could swear it was written Mr. Tongue lol
I need to get the season pass for sure.
g1rldraco7 Apparently there was 10 hours of content in the first DLC, I'm so excited to see what's next. I bought the season pass too ^_^
cephas90 g1rldraco7 If you do the side missions (not including the main last raid boss guy), It's upwards of around 8-9 hours, depending on how fast you play.
cephas90 g1rldraco7 i finished all missions in about 7 hours.. A couple to many fetch quests but overall good DLC
I want to go with Mr. Torgue on his campaign of carnage. Somehow, I picture him in the future world of Pandora as being Duke Nukem's long-lost grandchild.
Gearbox is not a company to keep secrets, when there is info to be released, it will come with style.
Eddie, you're fucking terrible at picking which stories to report on. Just fucking terrible.
sortajan I dont think he reads his stories or our comments, otherwise he may have figured that out by now
Is Gearbox attempting stealth? Is this what stealth looks like?
We know more DLC is coming to Borderlands....so maybe it's this, maybe it ain't? Who cares until it's announced.
I got games to play and real news to read.
FYI it's Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty. Because if she's a Captain I think it goes without saying that her Booty is a Captain's Booty. :)
But again,,is the loot going to be 4 levels below my level and the enemy AI always at my level no matter how much I level up? Making the whole point of the game worthless ??
XspidervenomX yeah it annoys me no mater how much i level up they are there with you on the same or above your level and after you kill the enemys of an area a number of times they become a waste of ammo as they stop giving any xp.
@XspidervenomX Incorrect. I've ran across many lvl 52 enemies in the new expansion & have found 3 weapons that I swapped out for weeps that I had been carrying for at least 30 hours. There's still plenty of reasons to play.
Awesome.
Are you asking me?
gatsbythepig *sigh*
The nature of the headline is meant to imply uncertainty. That is, the claim is unconfirmed as yet, and so a question mark makes it clear that he's not making an announcement.

*belch*
Implying uncertainty in the headline delineates why this article shouldn't have been written in the first place. Or at least the subject should have been researched until there was no more confusion in the title. At that point, the germane information could be disseminated as news.
Right now this is essentially a rumor with a question for a headline.
gatsbythepig Yeah. He's reporting on a rumor. You just seem to be entirely unfamiliar with the common practice of reporting on such things or using the form of a question to make that clear. There's nothing wrong with either.
parrot_of_adun That's an incorrect assumption, and you can always ask if you don't know. I am tired, along with many other users, of myopic reporting when there is a 'Rumor Blog' section.
Just because it is a common practice, mostly by this site, doesn't make it any more acceptable.
gatsbythepig Take issue with the well accepted (and not at all problematic) standard then, not the reporters who do no less than is expected of them.
parrot_of_adun Thanks for the advice but your opinion on a 'well accepted (and not at all problematic) standard' shows that we do not agree on that point and means that I will continue take it up with the reporters who are expected to deliver news. I would suggest you do the same, but you are content with what you are receiving.
I gotta ask, is this Eddie on a different account? Because you seem adamant about protecting this type of reporting.
gatsbythepig He might as well start asking, his news articles are terrible anyways
blackothh These "articles" are minor news snippets. They can't, by virtue of their very nature, be of much substance. Makuch says all that can be said, and no worse than anyone else could, really. If the website he works for has tasked him with writing up throw-away news bits, then it's not up to him what to write about, nor can he just compose magna opera about such trivial news things. This is just his job. I would sooner question the purpose and quality of posts that exhibit such an odd bent against these articles.
Bring it...looking foward to some really hard DLC in these later months...yes top 5..!!
SECOND!!!!! nice boss c:
Sounds cool. It'll probably be a while until the next DLC is released though since Scarlett DLC just came out a few days ago.
