so this game already has 2 DLCs? lol

johnwck90 14 pts

can someone please tell me whether they are releasing episodic content for this game and how much does it cost for the extra content and does it represent good value.  Do people group in this game.  I like cooperative play and might buy this if there is the chance of playing in groups.  Also, how will it run on an i7 with gt555m card?  Thanks for any responses.

So, I have the season pass installed, but much like many others I see posting on here, I'd like to know, WHERE THE HECK IS THE DLC FOR THE PS3?!?! Checked this morning before work - not there. Just checked again right now - not there. Anyone know anything??

shiss27 19 pts

Is the DLC ready for PS3 yet? It's 430 pm central time btw

Skate360 10 pts

oh yeah deffenetely getting it

vallee05 30 pts

Is this DLC already available if you have the season pass? I didn't see the content available on PSN to download? how dod I downlaod it? I popped my game in and check the DLC component to download it wasn't there, my game didn't install or update a patch so how does this come available?

JaylisJayP 31 pts

Anyone know what level the enemies are in Pirate's Booty DLC? I don't want to waste my time since I'm already level 50.

vallee05 30 pts

you needt be level 15 to be able to go to Oasis(minimum level requirement), However if you are a higher level this map will cap the enemies to a higher level to make to missions challenging. So if you level 50 they will be between 50 and 52

This game is just fantastic.  The DLC in the first game was great, so there's no reason to think the new DLC in Borderlands 2 will be anything less.  I mean, come on, "Captain Scarlett And Her Pirate's Booty" as a title?  That just screams greatness.

I'll pass,,,my first easy play-through, loot 4 levels below my character worthless, 500,000 credits not a single orange weapon, leveling up was pointless as AI was always my level regardless, ruined the game for me , made exploring pointless........

saucex4 148 pts

XspidervenomX The best loot comes @ level 50 after you've finished the vault hunter playthrough. Also 500k is nothing. Legendaries are rare in this game. If you want easy rewards then I think you need to look at playing some other game. BL2 is probably not for you.

vallee05 30 pts

I was level 40 on my second play through when I got my first orange weapon drop. I wish you larger bosses dropped an orange item like 1 out for 5 times ro something, I fought the warrior 20 times in a row with two players(both had teh 5% increase of rare item elic equipped) and nothing dropped that was orange. TheTerramorphous drops a orange class mod ever defeat but other than that It took me 30 battles to get a orange gernade

 drop.

saucex4 148 pts

vallee05 According to the official guide orange drop rates are 5% or 1/20. However, bosses drop different oranges, so you may not get the one you want when it does come out. I've farmed Warrior at least 300 times now and I've gotten only 1 CC to drop. I've gotten other oranges from him though.Personally I don't even bother with farming and the like until I get to level 50 because any weapon under level 50 is probably not the one you'll be wanting to keep.

I need some help.  I downloaded the DLC (360), and installed it, but now I can't start it.  Im using my 34 which i already finished the first runthrough with, but nothing shows up anywhere about Pirates Cove or anything.  Does anyone know how to start this??  Is anyone else having this problem?? Please help!!!

no wonder games these days feel so untested. i mean look at how they play

mlcarter815 458 pts

Cool. One more quest pack to go along with the bundle I'll buy next year on Steam for $10.

Arsyad00 110 pts

looks liek juz another quest in the game.

saucex4 148 pts

Arsyad00 Yup it's a loot shooter. There are people who love these types of games like myself, and there are those who hate them.

Arsyad00 110 pts

saucex4 hopefully they got new fun to use gun in it

saucex4 148 pts

Arsyad00 Gearbox is claiming that all BL2 DLCs are as big or bigger than Knoxx on BL1. If you take that at face value then there should be new guns, and I suspect that at least all the bosses will have legendary drops like the other bosses in BL2.

halo-freak 9 pts

 saucex4  Arsyad00 Hate implies fear.

So.. do they fear this game? and if so why.

Lol do they fear losing their entire playerbase to this game?

jorge69696 159 pts

Somehow, companies managed to delete memories from most gamers.

Can't believe no one remember Expansion packs, mod tools and free content from the community.

buccomatic 1598 pts

 jorge69696 i remember!

that's why i hate this "pay for DLC" BS so much!

saucex4 148 pts

buccomatic  jorge69696 You remember huh? You must live in some alternate reality cause I have never seen a free additional content on any major platform outside of the PC. Name any platform from the 70s, 80s, and 90s and even into the 00s. You guys are always yammering vague generalizations of a time that has never existed.

I have my problems with DLC and how some companies don't give you value, but most of the bullshit that people spill out is just not true. Also BL2 has value, including it's DLC, though I admit buying Gaige for $10 is a bit steep. It should have been $8 or less.

mlcarter815 458 pts

saucex4  Just because consoles didn't have free content created by the community doesn't mean PCs didn't. The trend to consolize every game has removed the modding features from modern PC games.

saucex4 148 pts

mlcarter815 I agree with you completely. I was very specific about my comments and as you have probably read I did say "outside of PC". My point is that  some seem to think we've had free content from developers since the 70s. The PC scene is great because of modders, which is why I'm a PC gamer myself, and my PS3 is just collecting dust.

mlcarter815 458 pts

saucex4 I haven't seen a single person claim that they got free content from a console. Every time the PC has been implied.

saucex4 148 pts

mlcarter815 I haven't seen a single person claim PC explicitly. Since people are not going to be specific I make an assumption that they mean the entire gaming industry including all platforms. Also majority market share for gaming is on consoles, so it would be stupid of me not to include that.

mlcarter815 458 pts

saucex4 So you need everything spelled out for you? You'd prefer to jump to a false assumption.

saucex4 148 pts

mlcarter815 Also note that GS is very biased towards consoles. GS's PC section is almost non existent. I look at other websites for PC gaming.

mlcarter815 458 pts

saucex4 What does GS's bias have to do with DLC?

saucex4 148 pts

mlcarter815 And you want people to assume that they know EXACTLY what you mean? People are responsible for their words and how they comment on things. You have to make sure to the best of your ability that your point is getting across.

saucex4 148 pts

mlcarter815 GS's bias has something to do with the visitors of the website. People come here to view gaming "news', if you can call it that, regarding mostly console games.

mlcarter815 458 pts

saucex4 When it is pretty obvious what people are saying. If free content wasn't historically available on consoles, then why would someone claim that it was? It makes more sense for them to mean PCs, which did have free content.

saucex4 148 pts

mlcarter815 I'm saying that the majority of games have been marketed on consoles, especially in the last 15 years if not more. If the majority of the market has not been giving free content for a good majority of its existence then how can someone claim that they remembered a day when developers in the industry AS A WHOLE gave away free content when it was only a 1 market segment?

saucex4 148 pts

 mlcarter815 *in 1 market segment.

saucex4 148 pts

mlcarter815 Also PC exclusive games, or rather games that started their life on the PC platform still have content that is developed and added for free. Terraria is a good example of that..

Also it should be noted that DLC, or additional content comes at additional cost these days BECAUSE of the console hardware developers. Microsoft, and Sony...well especially Microsoft do not allow for free content that readily. So technically it's not the fault of Gearbox or 2K but rather the likes of Microsoft. So people shouldn't be complaining to Gearbox about it, they should be taking their pitchforks to Microsoft.

I'm seriously getting tired of the DLC debate coming up in all of the DLC videos on GS. The cause is very evident here, but people refuse to see it.

mlcarter815 458 pts

saucex4 OP wrote "Expansion packs, mod tools and free content from the community." The free content comes from the community, not the developers.
