Jennifer Gould Keil

Jennifer Gould Keil chronicles the city's movers and shakers, keeping tabs on boldface New Yorkers' biggest real estate hits and misses in her Gimme Shelter column on Thursdays. She also pens Side Dish, which serves up restaurant scoop in the business section on Mondays. A graduate of Columbia University's school of journalism, she is the author of "Vodka, Tears and Lenin's Angel: A Journalist on the Road in the Former Soviet Union." Before breaking news on high end real estate deals -- like Madonna's purchase of a $32 million Upper East Side townhouse -- she reported from war torn regions like Chechnya and ex-Soviet Georgia as well as from places like the Balkans, Libya and Mongolia. From New York, she also broke stories about sexism and peacekeeping atrocities at the United Nations.
