What's New or Updated On This Site!!!

12/7/2006
The Firearm and Reloading Equipment Manual/Brochures Pages have been redesigned into one section. As the manufacturers update their sites they often change the location of their files making it tedious work to keep links updated. To avoid this I've downloaded all the manuals I could find and now have them all listed in the new section of this site.
Firearm and Reloading Equipment Manual/Brochure Section.

It has been a busy year and although there hasn't been any updates listed on this page, there have been quite a few new things...

The cartridge drawings are finally underway. One of the bulletin board members has generously been donating his time to draw the cartridges to scale in CAD. I am deeply indebted to him for taking on such a huge task and I might add, the drawings are superb! As these drawings are completed, I will be activating the individual links to them.

The 264 RLB™ has taken up a good part of the year with testing different powders and bullets. The load development is underway and once the warmer weather arrives, I'll be able to test some of the loads that were worked up and get actual pressure readings.

Currently, there are 4 rifles already built, a 5th on the way, and plans for a 6th and 7th in the works for the summer. Accuracy has been excellent with the velocities being better than we had expected. Sierra 85g HP's have exceeded 3200 fps while the Nosler 120g Ballistic Tips have achieved 2820 fps. The Nosler 120g BT's have also been proven in the field on bagging 2 deer with one shot at just over 280 yards distance. Once the pressure testing is completed, I'll have 264 RLB™ load data available on the site. If that wasn't enough, discussions of a new wildcat, the 264 K&K RLB™ is already on the drawing board.

The Bulletin Board has had several features added in regard to making posts You can read more about it on this thread. Included in the new features is an attach feature that will allow members to upload an image to the server and include it in their post. Images are restricted to 100 KB's in size.

August 5th and 6th of this year we are planning to have our first get together with RLB Members. It is being called "RLB Stock 2006, East Coast" and will be held in South Berwick, Maine. Additional information is available on this thread.
3/10/2005
After many requests for shirts and caps with The Reload Bulletin Board logo, I finally put together a storefront where these can be ordered. This is more of a pre-order storefront since the initial products have minimum quantities to order. More on this can be found on the The Reload Bench Store main page.
1/7/2005
A new database has been added that includes load data from the powder and bullet manufacturers. At this time, it will NOT include data from published (bound) manuals that you normally purchase. New data will be added periodically as I find the time to do this. Additional information on this database is available on one of the bulletin board threads.

Welcome to the new home of The Reload Bench. Thanks in part to the bulletin board's Magnum Members, who have helped support this site with their generous donations. Because of them, this site has been moved to a new, and faster server to accommodate the growing traffic.

Over the next couple of days you will see just an IP number instead of the domain name in your browsers address bar. This will return back to the domain name of reloadbench.com after the DNS (Domain Name System) propagates throughout the Internet.
12/7/2002
I've added 336 new drawings showing cartridge specifications (dimensions). The existing cartridge information pages have been edited to show the newer drawings, as well as adding some to the pages that didn't have any drawings. A complete list of these cartridge dimension drawings can be found here: Cartridge Specifications. The 336 links to these images will open in a new "popup" window. There is also a "Print" link on each popup window for your convenience.

Please do not link directly to these images! The URL's of each image will be randomly changed and will result in a broken link. You are more than welcome to save the images to your own computer by right clicking and "saving as".
11/2/2002
Changed the way members edits are displayed on their posts. Continue reading...
10/31/2002
Added 24 new Smilies to the bulletin board. These are used in the same manner as the original ones. Please use them sparingly, too many of these on one post can quickly become annoying. Here is a link to all the available Smilies on the board.

I have received numerous emails regarding Osama bin Laden targets. I haven't been able to find any on so I did the next best thing. I found a photo of that varmint and put it into a PDF format with the other targets. There are two files, one with x-rings and one without. They are not the best but they will serve their purpose.

  • The Reload Bulletin Board has been upgraded to the licensed version (v.5.47). This gives members many more features that have been lacking on this board for some time such as:

    a) An edit function, members can edit their messages without having to repost a new topic/reply.

    b) Additional forums, the old version was limited to nine forums. This new version has unlimited forums that are categorized.

    c) The use of cookies, with cookies enabled on your browser you will only have to enter your UserName and Password once instead of every time you want to make a post.

    d) UBB Friend, you can email any of the topics pages to a friend using this link located at the top of every page.

    e) Reply w/Quote, on every post there is an icon that you can use to automatically quote the members message into your own.

    f) Preferences, with this new preferences link, you can remove all cookies stored on your computer, have your UserName and Password stored for up to a year, and set your default as to how many topics are displayed while you surf through the site.

  • The Bulletin Board Search Database has been updated on 10/9/2001 09:02 EST.
All Topics that haven't been responded to in over 100 days have been archived. The archived pages can be viewed through this search script.

The domain transfer has been complete, thanks to all that have been so patient. The Bulletin Board, Guest Book, and other CGI scripts should all be working. I have checked and rechecked through all the pages, however, there might be a few un-edited pages that have slipped through the cracks. Please report any errors that you may find on this site and be as detailed as possible about the error. Thanks...

This site has moved to a new and faster server. The Reload Bench and the Reload Bulletin Board has grown beyond the limitations of the old server. With this move I have changed/added the following to this site:
  • Any email replies you get will be from reloadbench.com, not the personal ISP email I currently have set up for the site. Basically what this means is, if you send an email to info@reloadbench.com the return address on your reply will be from info@reloadbench.com. There are a lot of viruses that get spread by email and I personally wind up deleting a lot of emails from address' that are unfamiliar to me. Hopefully this will resolve any accidental email deletions.

  • A new single graphic has been added in place of the 14 smaller graphics for the navigational header. This will help decrease the load time of each page.

  • A Privacy Policy page has been added for legal reasons and to let visitors know what information is collected and how it is used.

  • A new printable Varmint Target has been added to the collection courtesy of Nosler. Adobe Acrobat Reader (Free Download) is needed to view/print any of the targets.

  • The completion of the Wildcat Section has begun (I know, finally!!!). I apologize for the long delay in getting that finished. I will be adding several wildcat cartridge pages daily until its final completion. The new pages that have been added are as follows: 7mmIHMSA, 285OKH (7mm-06 Mashburn, 7mm-06), 7mm Shooting Times Easterner (7mm STE), 30 Kurz, 308 x 1.5" Barnes, 30 Herrett, 30-30 Ackley Improved, 30 IHMSA, 30-06 Ackley Improved, and 30-338 Winchester Magnum.
5/27/2001
All the testing is complete with the "Test Forum" on the bulletin board and it has been closed. Contact me with any ideas for additional forum topics. I have changed the number of days to be initially displayed in all the remaining forums from "Show topics from last 30 days" to "Show topics from last 10 days". This small change will save the server over 2.5MB's of data transfer p/month. Another change is in the Rifle Cartridge and Pistol Cartridge sections. Within these two sections, I have archived the threads that haven't been replied to within the last 100 days. The archived topics/threads can no longer be replied to but can be accessed through the bulletin board search. The other remaining forums have been untouched since they don't take up as much server space or CPU as the first two forums did.
3/21/2001

As you scroll down it will follow you and stay in the bottom right corner of your browser window. This has only been tested with Internet Explorer v5.0 and Netscape Communicator v4.7. If you encounter any problems with it please email me.
