"Seabra: Lol TTdog lot's of games sell cos of their music from Rez to singstar" Very brave to select two music based games (I'm suprised you neglected Guitar Hero) and what with Rez being only 4 or 5 years old, show me someone who bought a mainstream title on music alone and I'll show you a retard or you can just look in the mirror. If you think people buy games for music then I'll ask you 1 question... what colour is the sky on your planet?
UK game chart: February 26 - March 3
Square Enix celebrates another week at the top with Final Fantasy XII; Sonic returns to the top five.
Final Fantasy XII, the PlayStation 2-exclusive title from Square Enix, has held onto the top slot in the UK all-formats game chart for a second week. The only time a Final Fantasy game has been number one for a longer period was Final Fantasy IX for the PlayStation, which kept the top position for three weeks.
The success of Final Fantasy has kept Microsoft's Crackdown at number two for another week--the latest expansion in Electronic Arts' massively successful Sim series, The Sims 2 Seasons, arrived in the chart at number three.
The all-formats top 10 featured six platform-exclusive games last week, with Sonic and the Secret Rings for the Wii making its debut at five. Nintendo DS exclusives Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training (Brain Age in the US) moved up three places to take it back into the top 10 at number eight, and New Super Mario Bros. held on to 10th place.
The remaining titles in the top 10 all lost places--FIFA 07 went down from three to four, Pro Evolution Soccer 6 slipped from four to six, Need for Speed Carbon lost two places at seven, and The Sims 2 dropped from eight to nine.
There was only one new entry in the wider top 40--following the release of the movie, Take 2's Ghost Rider arrived at 24. A number of DS titles reentered the chart and helped to make Nintendo the most-represented publisher within the top 40--overall, games by Japanese publishers made up half the titles in the chart.
This week sees the release of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 for the Xbox 360, along with another sequel in the shape of Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis. Murder-mystery fans will also have a chance to sharpen their skills with the release of CSI: 3 Dimensions of Murder and Agatha Christie: Murder on the Orient Express, both for the PC.
