I do prefer these 3 medium to large maps rather than the 1 HUGE map that was in reach adds more options of different style and scenery to the forge game mode, we should have a lot better forge created maps for matchmaking as a result. Also i can see people creating really amazing maps for private games especially puzzle maps this game is going to be amazing it's going to shit on every FPS out there to date in my opinion GOTY.
Looks better then any Halo game before it,forge is amazing.Halo 4 has got to be my most antisipated game ever.GOTY.

yea, i got this halo game for ?20 (instead of the ?70 you pay on xbl, those guys are downright crooks) and i have to admit it's very, very polished, it sounds and looks and feels like a great game but i just cant get around using a joypad for an fps, too bad

I still would prefer a full-blown map editor like you get with Unreal Tournament and Quake.
i know for a fact that there will either be a fourth map they didnt tell us about or another forge map for dlc. that map will definitely be like a blank canvas, such as foundry or sandbox from halo 3. it might be free, it might not. but that dosnt matter to me cuz i got all the maps :3

percuvius2 Some textures would be reduced to conform to the memory restrictions, but the core dynamic elements of customizing the environment would actually run better on the PS3.
Take a look at Games like Mod Nation Racers, and how completely custom you can make a map in that game, or UT3 in which you can build a completely original level using actual dev tools and upload it to your console.What they've made with forge is amazing, but it's even more amazing that it runs on the 360.

This first map totally reminded me of waterworks and even the holes in the ceilings. SLightly disappointed there wasnt MORE cave space to recreate larger maps like that but oh well..lets see what people make
All the maps look great. I wish they were bigger though, like in Ravine I wish you can go out to the other islands. That would have been awesome. Or going deeper into the caves in Erosion. But one can dream....
Flip1094 Seconded. The best part of Forge World was how immense it was. Not only did you have far more that you could do in any of these three maps, but you could also play dozens upon dozen of different maps without having to load all the textures and models again.

Holy cow. I am already imagining a Battlefront 2 style map/ gametype on that space map. These just look gorgeous. Have not been this excited about a game since well... Halo 3.
Ravine looks dope.
Forge is awesome. I used it almost exclusively in Halo Reach. Must have feature for any Halo game. Hopefully this version is even better.
@19playstation95 I like the idea of smaller forge areas to start out Halo 4 with. Then I would imagine that 343 will expand to larger maps for Halo 5 and Halo 6. Perhaps 343 will release forge maps as DLC for Halo 4.
DriedMoss 19playstation95 Well they aren't really smaller, I mean they really took these maps and extended them vertically. Can't wait to see what people come up with.
I'm just wondering but does anyone else actually use forge? I like to make maps with my friends and then use them at LAN parties but if the vast majority of players don't even use forge what's the point of including it? I really hope there's some way to easily let the community make maps in this game
@msdrakegx No, I think you are the only player that 343 considered for including Forge in Halo 4. What kind of question is that? That is like asking does anyone actually care about the story, or if anyone else plays in Multiplayer. Does anyone here respond to comments? Oh wait, I can answer that for myself.

This game brings back horrible and great memories from playing the third game. Good ol'rage-quit on multiplayer.
@Fembot_Eulogy Yeah but now players can drop in when there is an open spot. This will greatly improve game experiences, and lessen the need to care when others rage out of a game.
DriedMoss Fembot_Eulogy Ya, that's good to know if I ever get back into playing Halo. My Xbox gave the RRoD after 2.5 years of good faithful service to me. I haven't bought another one after that though.

Ohh, look, more "maps" and another way to make people pay above the 60 bucks for the game. Maps = Boring. More Multiplayer so that people can bicker like immature children and bloat their misguided ego's more. Yes, count me out.

DarthLod I don't know how long you've been playing Halo for, but Forge is a map creation sandbox included with the game. Players can make their own maps, this is not DLC.

nahtecojp DarthLod Sorry, I got my wires crossed. I was referring to the map packs in Halo 3, I think I only needed to pay for one of those extra maps, but the rest were free add-ons. I haven't tried Halo Reach, so I wouldn't know about those.
nahtecojp Fembot_Eulogy DarthLod sadly, none of the maps packs of Halo Reach could ever be free. Why? Because Microsoft policy is that if there is archievements attached to a map pack, it can't ever be free.

If this is anything like Halo Reach forge world, its going to be terrible. Every map looked the same. What an eye sore.
