Dishonored Endings
SPOILER ALERT: These are the endings, for real. What's Hot on GameSpot
You can't sleep dart Granny Rags and get the achievement. For some reason destroying her cameo counts as a kill as far as the achievement is concerned. You have to agree to help her and then sleep dart Slackjaw.
Oh wow. Was surprised to see how much video there is here. Was expecting just a few tips. I have been playing the game on hardest difficulty myself and no killing or being spotted.
Very nice, although I've probably killed everyone so far...Nothing like a good stab or two.
the game isnt bad
but too short and got bored already.
6hours done will all the runes, charms etc etc and yes ghost +zero alarms and zero kills
Phoenix-Ho-Yoku "the game isn't bad but too short and got bored already"?
Just out of curiosity how did you play, let me guess; with a walk-through from the start and play through on easy?
On my play through I finished it (with no walk through) on normal, I've logged 17+ hours on Steam, reading the journal entries, using the heart to find out more about characters, talking to them, doing side missions (like Granny Rags, etc.), occasionally searching for runes, finding collectibles for money, observing each area and progressing stealthily until I got caught. I had no problem with the length of this game being short as some have said, it was perfect If you actually soak up everything it has to offer. This game is brilliant, period.
"6hours done will all the runes, charms etc etc and yes ghost +zero alarms and zero kills"
Personally, 6 hours without a walk through and above easy isn't long enough to figure out half of that...and do the stuff you obviously avoided. So well done on that, pat yourself on the back you game freak ;)
If you did it while logged into Steam I'd love to see some proof of this amazing 6 hours for everything claim.
Cheers.
I have replayed Mission 1 about six times already (minimum, lost track) because honestly at the end I always either have 1 (usually 2) kills, or bodies have been detected - but I simply cannot understand how this can be possible. I haven't killed anyone at all, and I keep hiding the bodies. No, none of the bodies fell in water, or died in an explosion, but somehow there are kills. I never get the Ghost challenge even though not once did any guard get more more than 1 detection warning - and in some instances I never had any of them detect me. How is finding the bodies that I keep hiding where all the guards are being knocked out by me. Are there "invisible" guards who keep spawning in areas I already cleared - but even so, the bodies I hide in shadowy/secluded spots. Could it be a bug, or is there something going on that I should be aware of?
Very nice walkthrough :D; but sorry you havn't added all the dishonored endings in the last video :), your missing the one were Emily dies :)
xeriksenx Oh man! Someone else mentioned that to us too. Gonna have to get Maxwell McMurderSpree to load up his High Chaos save file and add that one to the mix.
does killing the husks forfeit the no kill playthrough?
Gryn89 Do you mean the Weepers, people that have the plague and wander around like zombies? Yes, killing them counts as a kill. Killing animals (hounds, rats, hagfish, river krust) does not count.
Chris and Maxwell,
This is absolutely one of my favorite walkthroughs ever.
You're tenaciously hilarious banter adds so much character to the game. I usually have a tough time watching other people play videogames(all-consuming envy ensues), but this was an exciting and fun experience.
I'm going to stay posted for similar videos with the two of you guys playing/commentating.
Many Thanks!
"And they've put you in the sadness-hole." Classic blunder.
I've threw Granny in the fire along with her cameo, just to be sure...only me?
KorhalKk i threw the cameo in the fire after i knocked her out. the end of mission page told me i killed no one through out the game, yet i didn't get the achievement.perhaps it was because i killed the first person who attacked the empress in the prologue.
isshiah ohhhhhh, lol, that's a drag. I didn't care about no kill achievement, *spoiler*the endings are the same anyway*spoiler end*. I did care about G. Rags cause she's a mad bi%@#, so she met the furnace too.
Donnie Darko
Figuring out the Lady Boyle's colors is as easy as getting Miss White a drink.
Spoiler Alert!
Just so you know there is actually a third ending as well. In high chaos, at the end if you don't save Emily there is a different ending than the high chaos ending shown in the video. Its a bit darker I would say.
I assume mission two does not realy start until you get all the goodies after you meet the commander and the master guy. I forgot what they call him.
For some reason i can't get both 'Ghost' and 'No Kill' in the same run!
I just made a re-run of the first mission and i swear to god! not only i didn't kill a sole. I managed to slip by everyone. So, no combat and no detection.
I collected everything but coin (didn't get close to people for stealing their pouches)
I got the no kill mark, but no ghost mark for me.
BTW, can some one confirm an idea of mine?
If everything is collected (coin too) and both 'Ghost' and 'No Kill' is achieved, you get a reward for that run.
Don't know why but for some reason I think a flawless run rewards the player instead of just, "letting you know how well you did!"
HEY, WAIT A Minute! Isn't this game supposed to be about a dude out for revenge, an assassin?! What's with this no killing BS?! What is this a BATMAN GAME?!!
starduke he isn't an assassin. he is a bodyguard out to clear his name. if he starts killing everyone in his way, he isn't in the right anymore. that's how i see it, and that's how i played. if you want to play the other way, that's fine too. that option is one of the highlights of this game, imo.
isshiah Hmm, he is called Corvo the Assassin. He's not a bodyguard since the Empress went and got assassinated. Also, most of the weapons and powers in the game are geared for killing. Then they give you a bad ending if you actually used them. They should've balanced better between the lethal and the non-lethal options.
starduke isshiah Revenge can be fulfilled without any killing. There are things worse than death, and the game teach a few things about that ...
At 8:06 in the Mission 6 Video, you can, instead , open up the grate using the valve. You can reach the valve through the grate itself (the valve is behind the grate, to clarify) - you just gotta kill the Hagfish so you don't get killed while doing so. No need for possession. XD
Derejin But then you'll never be part of their world and feel the sinister joy of a gaping mouth full of needle-like teeth! Good suggestion anyway :)
*SPOILER ALERT*
anyone else get really pissed off at samuel at the end???? if you played through on high chaotic.
Fryer10 these videos are full of spoilers already lol
Just beat it on very hard, tried stealth but would always end up killing everyone. The first playthrough in stealth or decision based games I usually just go through and explore all the areas.
All those knock outs are totally unnecessary. I only had to choke out two guards in the first mission and only a few in the second mission where the Overseer and the Captain meet for wine. I shot everyone in the room with sleep darts using bend time, then I used the open windows at the top of the room to transport the Overseer to the interrogation room without anyone noticing.
does sound matter at all in this game? like loud footsteps or running instead of walking? Seems a little too easy watching this.
Keeper_Artemus Yes
wax lips are awesome
mrsqwid They are gross and weird!
Im sorry but this is a revenge story (kind of) and if I was Corvo I wouldn't be merciful - I wouldn't kill everyone, but I wouldn't spare anyone who got in my way.
This game is like a Hitman game set in the past-
Well, I killed a guy after choking him- I picked him up then pressed X (not RT) to put him down. As I did his head hit the ground and he bled out. REALLY? Ugh...
On another note, I finished the game, but to get the achievement for not killing anyone, do I have to replay the entire game from start to finish or can I just redo the missions were I killed people? I'll admit, when I got to The Flooded District (mission 7) I was pretty darn peeved at what happened so I KILLED EVERYONE! How do you even complete that without killing any of the assassins anyway?
ppettie I think you have to replay the entire game, its what I did, easier too cuz you can get certain powers and upgrades earlier. As for the assasins, its a hard mission to do without killing, I'd recommend having 10 sleep darts, for if they find you. The hardest part is fleeing if they find you, since they teleport, but what you should do is equip blink, then teleport to a random position where they can't see you and start sneaking. Worked for me.
Tenkaichi412 ppettie The Flooded District is a doozie, that's for sure. We'll be posting our walkthrough of it in a few hours!
it's like playing assassin's creed and not use the hidden blade (2)...no kill in this game is just too boring....(for me)...what about an All-Kill Playthrough? :D
no kill + ghost play is boring for me......
looks like all guards are prepare to get ganked by that assasin..
Nice playthrough, beat the game on hard and it's absolutely amazing, the story is quite great. I managed to finish a mission non-lethaly and doing the ghost achievement. Also the name of the movie is Donnie Darko (in reference to the Rorshach/human rabbit on the window during the 5th mission). Great job, lots of laughs.
FuriousHamst3r DONNIE DARKO!!! Thank you!
They should really play Pc-version instead.
Wow Chris is really good at this.
Already escaped from the prsion with no detection but thanks for the walktrhough guys and i'm gonna do it myself cause i want to.:P
If u do not killa any1 what do u obtain?
What bugs me is there's no counter you can access during the game to see if you have a body count. I went through all of mission 2, took me hours, and at the end it said I killed someone. I don't recall killing anyone but I'm sure a body rolled off a ledge or something accidental. I don't want to replay the entire mission just for that. Blarg.
Lord_Tigger Ha ha yeah me too! I think a hound died or something, but *I* didn't kill him. So lame.

Yeah and I'm on PS3 so if I want the gold trophy for completing the game without killing I have to start all over. I was reading over at Steam that if you leave a corpse near a rat swarm and it gets eaten, that counts as a kill. I'm pretty sure I did that under the bridge on Clavering Blvd before I even got to the Overseer's building. No gold trophy for me. :(
