This review contains misinformation. The dude at the top of the tower is NOT the God King.

two days ago I bought it! the game is really nice... the graphics are really astonishing on the ipad screen :)

Just got the New iPad. Downloading it right now.

I like the review, but I also like the confusing narrative unlike the reviewer. It gives mystery to the game and leads way to a better sequel.

almost 1G,,, got no space for my other games -.-

No denying it's good but unlike some Vita and 3DS titles, it's unlikely many gamers would want to play this on a home console. As a technical exercise though it's very impressive, alongside releases like Minecraft, Dead Space and GTA 3 it demonstrates big things will eventually come to the mobile market, not just these more simplistic titles gameplay-wise.

It runs sooooooo slow at many fights on my 3gs...so watch out. Hoping they release a performance enhancing patch.

@OmegaArchetype I was wary about purchasing IB2, especially because IB1 lags on my 3gs. Surprisingly IB2 runs smoothly on my 3gs, much better than IB1 o.O The graphics on 3gs aren't as good, but the gameplay is solid. No lag issues at all. By "aren't as good" I mean some effects like lighting or fish in ponds are absent but the game still looks great.

"This isn't your standard hack-and-slash fare though, think Nintendo's Punch-Out rather than the likes of Diablo or Dark Souls" You're out of your mind if you think Dark Souls is a "standard hack-and-slash fare." It is incredible that that entire sentence made it into the review because (at least for Dark Souls,) that statement is entirely untrue. If Dark Souls is, then so is this game. Anyways, I really want to get this game, but I've read some reviews stating that it doesn't work so well on the 4th gen iPod. Anyone know if it does or if you have any issues playing it?

itchyflop 238 pts

it looks tasty and its controls are original and different from any console game.

Hey @LeoXC, thanks for your feedback. All those points are in the full text review. For the sake of brevity, not every single detail can be in the video review :-)

Yes, it looks solid, but I fail to see how the game offers any depth beyond the suberb combat system, and beautiful graphics. The only question I ask is: Is it a solid 9.0, or a 9.0 as far as iOS games go? No, I have never played Infinity Blade II, I'm merely trying to understand why it's deserving of such a high critic score. Perhaps I'm a hypocrite, having not played the game, but I'm open to intelligent responses.

I'm sorry this reviewer is terrible. I've played the game and there are several key elements he's missed out. I'm not saying the game is bad, it's stupendous! But he completely missed pointing out the fact there is not only sword and shield play, but unlike the first game, there are now DUAL wield elements as well and two-handed weapon elements! That could be a large incentive for some people to try the different types of combat! I don't mind that he messed up trying to explain the story a little, because the God king is NOT the one at the top of the tower, but not only did he miss the different forms of combat, he also neglected to explain that experience does not go directly to Siris, but it goes to his weapons, meaning once the weapon's EXP is full, it can no longer gain exp! Also, when each weapon has full exp, Siris an attribute point, almost like a new level! For people who haven't played the first game, these are important points!

hybrid7seven7 11 pts

looks cool, but is this one a battery killer like the first game?

AdrianJNYC 13 pts

Hands down... Infinity Blade II is the best game on the iOS platform.

daveg1 13 pts

the thing is wehen playing this on the iphone or ipod is.. you cant see jack if you have man hands! id love a little controller for my iphone4 lol.

gabsponge 15 pts

I'd buy it if it was available on Android.

Gooshnads 14 pts

2 handed weapons broke the game for me. Far too strong. Killed god king first time LOL But like the first... i'm just gonna keep on playin =]

Meh.Sure, it looks great visually, but the gameplay itself is far too repetitive. If Apple were smart, it would release an iPhone with more than just a touch screen and make it into a true gaming platform (while still retaining many of its great smartphone features). Now that would be the true battle of the handheld gods. And games would then reach their full potential on handheld platforms, meaning that almost every phone would contain games that are hardly inferior to the PS3's/360's title in all aspects of quality.

edgewalker16 167 pts

I'd buy an iPhone for this game.

kerde 5 pts

Try out blood and glory for android... its hard but it's something almost like this without the story

sieg6529 197 pts

looks good. really good. not "go out and buy overpriced tablet" good, but still very good.

Sirbobislost 6 pts

@Nandutzu So because you don't no one in the world does? I play games on the bus on my phone so your opinion is exactly that an opinion and it's also wrong

Netherscourge 28 pts

Great game - 1 complaint. How come Mike Tyson's Punchout has visible damage and this game doesn't? In MTPO, after beating up opponents for a while, their faces became all mangled up, as did yours. In this game, there is no visual damage or blood or injuries or anything, and this game uses weapons.

good game on wrong system. kinda like some wii games.

tap tap tap tap..till i crack the screen due to NERD RAGE. LMAo.

@djxpetrovic, apple products are the best because of 3rd party support. Not because of specs. Android could have a GeForce 2gb graphics card but if they don't get the support they need then who cares. Also, I bet in a few months, with gaining popularity, they will make a android port. Like angry birds.

donmega1 20 pts

It's fun. For 7 bucks it's well worth it.

@vvg1988 Amen to that man!;o) My Optimus 2X would eat this alive!

giedrius1001 13 pts

looks good, gameplay total crap, its not real time, almost turn base, that why game looks so good, cause its linear, no open world and so on, order and chaos is still a king, and nobody can match it, period...

djxpetrovic 7 pts

@jlm2k5 Try Blood and Glory on andrid, it's free and basically the same kind of gameplay with dodging and slashing with touching the screen. This game makes me laugh, not because it's cheap, but it's gorgeous and good for gamers, but the only thing I can say as a criticism is that there is no solid reason for the developer to make it on Android with the system requirements even more satisfied on Android than on iOS, it's just for making the brand stronger in the gamer community, not to make the gamers real part of the Epic fanbase. The game is GREAT but their decisions are as bad as they can get about the platforms.

GamingForLives 6 pts

The game looks great, feels great and is great. Boss fights look good but what caught me off-guard was that boss fight at 1:10, it had huge resemblences to a boss fight in Prince of Persia Two Thrones, what was even more resembling was that the last attack given at 1:25 was also a copy from the same game and same boss fight. But still the game looks EPIC!!!

jlm2k5 14 pts

Are there any games this good on Android?
