The originall One X was the first handset to arrive with quad core power and this incremental update from the Taiwanese company features a 1.7GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 processor and 1GB RAM.

There's also a bigger 2100mAh battery and the all-important move to Android 4.1, albeit with HTC's Sense UI still overlayed.

Outwardly, there's almost no difference between this and the original HTC One X although instead of white, the One X+ will arrive in black with a red trim. There's still the 4.7-inch Super LCD screen and a rear-facing 8MP snapper.

There are a few tweaks to the internals such as the ability to scroll right the way through menus rather than arriving at a standstill. There's also PlayStation certification courtesy of Sony and, of course, the integration of Dr Dre's Beats Audio technology.
