Game Writing Before IGN
In some form or another, Mark Ryan Sallee has been writing about video games since before his high school years. In the late '90s, he began writing for Videogamers.com, a former Imagine Games Network affiliate. Videogamers.com eventually morphed into the video game portion of Fandom.
