Next month, A-level students across Britain will reach the end of weeks of waiting and get their results. For many, that will mark the beginning of a new period of anxiety, as they try to find themselves a university place through the Clearing process.
The Telegraph's app will help to guide students through this complex process. Speed is essential during the Clearing process and the Telegraph app will be updated live between A-level results day on Thursday 16 August and Thursday 20 September.
The Telegraph Clearing app provides simple instructions to how the Clearing process works as well as a feed of the Clearing discussion on Twitter. Students can join the discussion using the hashtag #clearing2012.
However, the bulk of the app is a search function allowing students to see what places are available and where. Students can search by course, university or by location. Once they have found a course with an opening, students will be able to contact the admissions tutor to ask questions about the course and explain why they are interested.
The Telegraph Clearing app is simple, easy to use and is the best way for students with Android or Apple smartphones to keep on top of the Clearing process.
