WATCH IT: Game "Celebration" (Matt Alonzo, dir.)

Director Matt Alonzo brings back the "Nothin' But A G Thang" video formula right down to the low-riders, a vollyball game and, of course, lots of malt liquor and daytime booty. Modernizing touches include razor shapr HD, a much more diverse crowd of partygoers, skateboarding, and an impressive guest list that includes Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Wiz Khalifa and Tyga. --> watch "Celebration"

WATCH IT: Frank Ocean "Pyramids" (Nabil, dir) -NSFW-

It's a vision quest.

Frank Ocean fuels up on Absinthe and off he goes, searching for deeeper meaning and a mythical Pyramid, not willing to settle for a strip club of the same name. Nabil laces the clip with lots of small pyschedelic touches, while occasionally going balls-out trippy, most notably with a John Mayer solo section that would make Gary Numan proud.  --> watch "Pyramids" [NSFW]

WATCH IT: Ellie Goulding "Anything Could Happen" (Floria Sigismondi, dir.)

Everything seems to float just slightly un-tethered from the ground and earthly concerns in this new Floria Sigismondi clip for Ellie Goulding. The waves cascade skyward while shards of mirror and reflective bubbles seems to be caught up in the fizzing, aerial energy of the song. The artist looks a bit like Robyn With The Dragon Tattoo — the kind of fiercely other-worldly beauty that shows up in a lot of Floria's fashion and beauty advertising work. The evocative ending twist is almost inevitable, but still affecting and (of course) gorgeous. --> watch "Anything Could Happen"

WATCH IT: Mumford & Sons "I Will Wait" (Fred & Nick, dir.)

Red Rocks is awesome. A breathtaking, one of a kind concert venue, surely the only one that has a "Geology" section on their website. It's a no-brainer location for a live video, but only if you deliver the goods. Luckily, Mumford & Sons are playing to absolutely packed house and directors Fred & Nick capture the venue with clarity and a larger than life scope.

I doubt the goal here is to top U2's "Live At Red Rocks" — an impossible task, since that concert shoot elevated both the band and the venue to unforeseen heights—  but rather a way to show a real band in an truly organic venue with a packed audience. That said, the U2 + Mumford connection is one that's not being made by accident.  --> watch "I Will Wait"

WATCH IT: Antony & The Johnsons "Cut The World" (Nabil, dir.)

You know something awful is going to happen in this video from almost the first second. Willem DaFoe in the main role only intensifies that feeling, poked along by a perfectly relaxed, yet highly suspenseful flow that matches each ebb and rise of the operatic song. About midway through it takes a turn toward something horrifying, making it extremely NSFW unless you really hate your boss. --> watch "Cut The World"

WATCH IT: Kimbra "Two Way Street" (Matthew Rolston, dir.)

WATCH IT: Purity Ring "Fineshrine" (Young Replicant, dir.)

What first seems like a sexy version of The English Patient in which a woman cares for a man who fell to Earth, takes a mythical turn into Petrification, before coming to a nice twist of an ending. Sounds complicated, but it all looks pretty beautiful so just go with it. --> watch "Fineshrine"
